Good Evening from the Island…

Countless kite surfers getting in one last ride before the protracted rain coming towards the Island

The sunset on the sound never disappoints…

I’m starting to think that my YouTube and Instagram videos are (temporarily) my actual proof of life videos <snort>. There were countless and I mean countless kite surfers. Based on the current weather reports -the Island will be the lucky recipient of a lot of rain over the next few days.

Crosses fingers that the only highway in/out of the Island will be shutdown because imma gonna need a couple of more days of self care.

Rainy weather means that’s a perfect opportunity to play Texas Hold’m with M&Ms …what better way to teach the littles the “art of the bluff” and that being a mom means there’s zero guilt when you clean your kids M&M’s out. I mean it’s not like I didn’t ask “are you sure you want to go all in” to wit one became rather irate with my question…and then I proceeded to take all their M&Ms. Mama is trying to teach you be a better bluffer or expect to be cleaned out by a wanna-be card shark…

Alternatively when the M&Ms are gone, I suppose that means we can put together the 10,000 piece puzzle that’s been taunting me since Oct 2nd.
