“I give you my word, as Biden” and yes Mr President you sure did. Your SCOTUS pick is absolutely outstanding.
By nominating Brown Jackson, which in of itself, should be viewed as Biden keeping his word —it’s inconceivable that it took until 2022 to nominate a female African American SCOTUS nominee.
If I did this correctly — this article should publish concurrently while I am fulfilling my mandatory public service as a juror. Again I can’t talk about the case beyond serving had now require three PCR test (—technically two but because I obtained a booster a few days prior yo my jury duty) Obviously the Court is being extrajudicially pragmatic…and clearly I shouldn’t publish an article before my 2nd cup of coffee -as typos abound and I’m entirely too exhausted to re-edit this article…
Good Morning
—your daily dose of saltwater serenity. Fair warning this article may have actually tested my ability to reach back into the archives, like 2008 archives. And I’ve taken the liberty of embedding numerous links to various Senate Documents.
Many of you might be curious to about Ketanji Brown Jackson and the subtext of the recent Republican Party smears against this SCOTUS nominee. Granted I’m naturally a curious person, specifically I like to see how one’s temperament evolves over time. But one thing I’d like you to keep in mind —during Day 1 of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing —what Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley and that witch from Tennessee… I’m so glad Marsha used her broom to fly back to DC <snort>
The Senate-MAGAs aka, the @SenateGOP behavior is indicative that the next phase of their plan to derail President Biden’s SCOTUS Nominee smear campaign is to somehow attack the “judicial temperament” — with their vulgar opening statements and thereafter their subsequent questions to President Biden SCOTUS nominee. Must I remind you about the Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing?
Generally speaking, I found Cruz, Hawley and Witchburn (yes that’s my nickname for her. She an insufferable, vapid, hateful word that rhymes with snitch)) all of them tried to bait Brown Jackson into their preconceived and racist AF “see how radical Biden is, he nominated an angry black woman” stereotype. Again most may not have even caught these nuances. Notwithstanding, micro-details and my ability to pick up on the language, sentence structure and subtly intonation (in my industry these are known as mico-expressions —in my industry, it is not at all uncommon for firms to pay “jury consultants” hundreds of thousands of dollars to analyze micro-expressions… the general purpose of this article is to provide you with previous Senate Hearings of President Biden’s Supreme Court nominee.
SCOTUS Nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson
As many of you are aware, on February 25, 2022 President Biden, formally announced his Supreme Court Justice nominee. (see White House Statement and announcement) President Biden’s landmark nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson fill Justice Bryer’s (soon to be vacated) seat on the bench to the highest court in America.

Josh “I love domestic terrorist” QANON-Hawley
] remain unapologetic — Josh Hawley is an unmitigated POS Trump-Fan-Boi vanFuckStixFucktardFuckingFucket. And long as Hawley is in the Senate, I’ll continue to highlight he’s offensive behavior. Because in Hawley’s attempt to pigeon-hole Judge Brown Jackson as “an angry black woman” ←which is a doubled punch of Hawley’s: misogynistic tendencies and racial stereotyping. For Example this blizzard thread which is dripping in racist micro aggression, QANON-sense which largely ground in throwing racist & misogynistic rhetoric but some how Hawley managed to hit the EVERYONE at the HILL either find you insufferable HATES YOU and YOUR STAFF-Trifecta. Congrats Josh-o you’ve outdone yourself but I can’t wait to see just how much money you raked in by smearing Judge Brown Jackson. For Example
On March 18, 2022 The Washington Post, published an Op-Ed by Ruth Marks. I would encourage you to read her OpEd, mainly because she is far more eloquent than Moi. However this particular paragraph in Ruth Marks OpEd that concisely explains/refutes and most importantly better contextualizes Hawley’s smear thread. I’m not exaggerating, Hawley has <3 “friends” in the Senate. The animus between Hawley & his Senate Colleagues was exacerbated after the deadly January 6, 2021 Domestic Terror attack on the Capitol.
How desperate can you get? This desperate: Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) is pushing the argument that Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson is dangerously soft on sex offenders, child pornographers in particular. “I’ve noticed an alarming pattern when it comes to Judge Jackson’s treatment of sex offenders, especially those preying on children,” Hawley tweeted. “I’m concerned that this [is] a record that endangers our children.”
If you cross reference Hawley’s disinformation & misinformation smear thread and then read Ruth Marks’ Jan 18th OpEd, you will have a far more fulsome understanding of why Hawley is an embarrassment and probably one of the biggest narcissist douche canoes in the US Senate. No really I would strongly encourage you to read her OpEd —because Ruth Marks’ OpEd is a point by factual point upbraiding of Hawley’s vile behavior.
Keep in mind Hawley went on a vulgar, hateful and selfish smear campaign and he did this after Brown Jackson’ opening statement. Which I would highly recommend you watch. Below you will find the Senate Judiciary Democrats twitter thread,
To be clear Judge Brown Jackson is preeminently qualified. Her credentials are impeccable. Her character, both professionally and personally is unassailable. Her commitment to equal protection under the law should be lauded. She’s consistently proven to be a fair and balance Federal Judge. She will bring a new and arguably long over due dynamic to our Supreme Court . As a former Federal Public Defender, she understood the awesome power vested with our Federal Judiciary. Also so a former member of the United States Sentencing Commission, this unique perspective is incredibly valuable. When you add her time as a Federal Judge, I can not think of a more qualified SCOTUS nominee, can you?
As for the Trump=MAGA Senators: yes I’m referring to Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley aka Seditious Conspiracy sympathizers who raised over $2.16 million post January 6, 2021 after they not only encouraged Trump’s deadly Domestic Terror attack, see January 3, 2022 article — in an odd sort of way I’m kind of glad jury duty precluded me from watching Day 1 of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing. Both Cruz and Hawley made complete asses of themselves. Candidly I only made it 3.03 seconds into Hawley’s opening partisan propaganda (laced statement, before I found myself literally screaming;
…What in the actual FigNewtons —your condescension is the epitome of White Privilege -(flirting with actual racism) —speaking to the SCOTUS nominee with incredible disrespect. Sit your seditious conspiracy gas lighting ass down and turn your mic off —your voice and condescending “man-splaning” reinforces my assessment that your a misogynistic self aggrandizing. This is why you rarely eat lunch in the cafeteria -no one and I mean no one in the Capitol likes you —you and Ted are the most tine deaf partisan hacks…
Oh Joshy-pooh wanna talk about your grotesque fundraising off the deadly Jan6th Domestic Terror attack? —You petulant intellectual midgets, you fist pumped thousands of domestic terrorist.
As for the Trump=MAGA Senators: yes I’m referring to Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley aka Seditious Conspiracy sympathizers who raised over $2.16 million post January 6, 2021 after they not only encouraged Trump’s deadly Domestic Terror attack, see January 3, 2022 article — in an odd sort of way I’m kind of glad jury duty precluded me from watching Day 1 of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing. Cruz and Hawley are already fundraising off of their March 21, 2022 opening statement and subsequent questions posed to Biden’s SCOTUS nominee… setting aside the vulgarity of the Trifecta of the three aforementioned Senators —each of their opening statements could be construed as “performative art” at the expense of both our President and the Nominee. On the flip side apparently the Senate Republicans (Domestic Terrorist sympathizers) smears backfired on them in the most spectacular fashion. I actually howled upon reading this CNN article…
And lastly you can watch Day-2 of Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing via this Senate Judiciary Link , which is scheduled to begin around 9AM today. I have purposefully withheld my personal opinion concerning Ketanji Brown Jackson, mainly because she is likely the most qualified SCOTUS nominee in my short lifetime and my opinion might cloud your objectivity to reach your own (informed) conclusion. And I didn’t want to rob you of the opportunity you deserve to be better informed. I hope that makes sense. (it’s entirely too early and I’m only on my first cup of coffee, before I need to leave for the Courthouse)
With that I now bid you adieu —whispers— attempting to simultaneously complete my civic duty, my job (I have over 3K emails unopened in my inbox), my family obligations and Substack… I should have stuck to my commitment of not publishing while serving on a jury. I simply do not have the bandwidth and eventually I’m going to drop a few balls —however if a mistrial is declared then my concerns about time management will be entirely moot.
Be Well and have a splendiferous day. -Filey
Judge Jackson isn't the only one with impeccable credentials. Have a good day Filey. Hope your civic duty ends soon.
Judge Jackson's response to MAGA-Senators has to be, "Respectfully, Senator..." when it should be, "I like beer."
