On January 12, 2021 the FBI received an anonymous tip, that Ballenger and her husband were “part of the crowd that entered the U.S. Capitol” —upon receiving this anonymously tip the FBI went to Ballenger’s public Facebook account and observed both Ballenger and Price responding to comments left by other users. Both Ballenger and Price subsequently deleted their Facebook post that contained pictures and video —but they did not delete their comments

Cynthia’s Facebook account (also archived, Facebook pictures also archived) is still very much active -posting disinformation about COVID-19 and other missives about our Government. You’ll note there’s a substantial gap from December 24, 2020 until January 20, 2021. For Example on August 7, 2021 she posted this on Facebook

If you’re going to post on your public Facebook that you took part in an act of Domestic Terrorism, nah no sympathy for you or your wife. The fact your adult son is currently serving in the Military -what is wrong with you and your wife? Your kid is fighting to protect our Freedom and Liberty and yet his parents humbled bragged about storming the Capitol. Where is your dear “Orange” leader now?

Oh well hello there Geofencing…

Silly rabbits you thought I was wrong on January 6th when I tweeted that the FBI would rely on geofencing, exclusion list and EMEIs and SSIDs and the wireless network within the Capitol grounds. Pity because here we are (yet again)

“…Google location data shows that a device associated with the BALLENGER Gmail was within the U.S. Capitol or the restricted grounds from approximately 2:47 p.m. to approximately 3:49 p.m…Google records also identified that a mobile device associated with PRICE Gmail 2 was within the U.S. Capitol Building or the restricted grounds beginning at approximately 2:44 pm, and ending at approximately 4:13 pm on January 6, 2021…”

…based on those photos and the records provided by Google, was able to identify and locate BALLENGER and PRICE in the surveillance footage. At approximately 3:22 p.m., BALLENGER and PRICE can be seen entering the U.S. Capitol through the Senate Carriage Door. BALLENGER and PRICE make an immediate right, toward the Crypt. At approximately 3:25 p.m., BALLENGER and PRICE are observed heading back toward the area where they entered the U.S. Capitol. BALLENGER and PRICE can be seen exiting the U.S. Capitol building via the Senate Carriage Door at approximately 3:29 p.m.

Smile for the CCTV Cynthia - investigators were able to locate you and your husband in surveillance footage…

And here’s your husband on CCTV too - did you really think that the FBI wouldn’t find you? Did you really think you could out smart the men and women of the FBI? Bless your liddl’ hearts.

I mean I’m so glad that Cynthia and her husband Chris enjoyed that Valentine’s Day 2021 dinner —how very romantic. These two crazy kids —did the both by candlelight lovingly look into each other’s eyes and remanence about your Bigly patriotic acts of Domestic Terrorism?

Wait you had five transactions that chronicled you driving from your home in Emmitsburg, MD to Shady Grove Metro in Rockville? Come on, why didn’t you just drive to Point of Rocks Maryland and hop on the MARC train to Union Station, amateur tourist, I mean Terrorist… The MARC train would get you to Union Station in about an hour and ten minutes and it would have been cheaper. Chris Price’s business partner rolled him hard

On June 17, 2021 the FBI interviewed Chris Price’s “friend” who also happens to co-own a business with Price. During the course of the voluntary interview the Friend allowed the FBI to review his cellphone, which contained numerous text messages and pictures that Price sent him on January 6th…

…FRIEND allowed the FBI to review text phone that FRIEND and PRICE had exchanged on January 6, 2021. FRIEND identified BALLENGER and PRICE as the people in the photographs PRICE sent on January 6, 2021. Below are several of the text messages and photos reviewed by the FBI:

No really Chris Price’s “friend” and business partner/co-owner did the right thing by granting the FBI permission to read his cellphone. I know it’s easy to say all MAGA-QANON are the same. The fact is no they are not. There are still some reasonable Trump supporters who know what happened on January 6th was a direct attack on our Democracy.

And the chutzpah of Defendant Ballenger is something to take a moment and bask in the level of deep stupid. Because on June 24, 2021 the FBI conducted an interview in Ballenger’s home and she thought she could out smart the FBI.

1. you as a person who violently entered our Capitol do NOT get to tell the FBI which predetermined “categories” of domestic terrorist.

2. When the FBI asks you a direct question, you pulling the “well you’re the FBI, you figure it out” that’s obstructing a lawful investigation.

3. Cynthia you and Chris were married in 2017 -so you’re not really newly weds but I betcha didn’t see the twining criminal complaint coming because you thought you could out wit the FBI —bless your heart

“I got swept up by the crowd” defense

This fake piety that “it’s in God’s hands now” is complete nonsense. The
“hypothetically” equivocation is not a smart defense strategy. JFC why can’t these grown ass adults just “own it” why must they use the “I got swept up in the crowd” nonsensical subterfuge. You knew what you were doing. You knew enough to say “Trump told us to be peaceful” that is textbook consciousness of guilt behavior.

And to be clear these two defendants being released doesn’t bother me a much as the 428+ defendants who beat the shit out of law enforcement being RoR’d. See I’m not always unreasonable.

• It is hereby ORDERED that Defendants CYNTHIA CATHERINE BALLENGER (1) and CHRISTOPHER JOHN PRICE (2) appear for an initial appearance on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. before Magistrate Judge Robin M. Meriweather.

• The hearing will be conducted by video teleconference; call-in instructions will be provided to counsel prior to the hearing. Counsel for the United States is directed to ensure that counsel for Defendants have received this Order and will provide the information to Defendants. If Defendants do not have counsel, counsel for the United States is directed to contact the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Columbia and provide their office with the information contained in this Order
