From June 2016 until August of 2020 Nicholes Lentz worked as a Miami Beach Police Officer. Lentz is also a former US Marine and previously served as an officer in Fort Pierce police department from 2014 to 2016.
Again I do not know why Lentz’ Criminal Complaint has not been added to the DOJ US Capitol criminal case database, but I’d still bookmark this DOJ link - Lentz’ MJ Case No: 9:21-mj-08058 he was taken into custody on February 18, 2021. His DDC MJ Case No is: 1:12-mj-00206 -which is still sealed. Hence why you have to locate the arresting district to pull down the Criminal Complaint and accompanying affidavit from SDFL (ECF/PACER) or via my public drive because some Twitter do not know what they are tweeting and it’s hilarious to watch them beclown themselves and when called out on their disinformation they respond . “management regrets the error”- stay in your.
On June 8, 2016 the Official North Miami Police Department Twitter account tweeted the following photograph and announcement of newly sworn in Police Officers. For the record this is how I know with 100% certainty, that Lentx is former law enforcement. It’s called doing your research, pulling from original/root documents and vetting the ___ about “legal stuff” before publishing it.
According to the Affidavit (ECF/PACER SDFL MJ Case) , the FBI received two tips from Concerned Citizens (CC), after he had uploaded a video. The CCs sent the FBI copies of Lentz’ Facebook post and video.
“America has spoken…You cannot stop millions of people, you cannot stop it. You can’t. It’s impossible…America has a voice, we give them the power, we give the power, the people give the power. And we’re here to take it back.” His video has since been removed or deleted from his Facebook timeline.
In a separate Facebook post, also posted on January 6, 2021 (and subsequently removed or deleted). Lentz posted a picture of himself and captioned the picture “We the people did it”
On January 19, 2021 FBI agents interviewed Lentz at his home. During this interview Lentz admitted he was inside the Capitol and confirmed to agents he had posted the video and pictures. Telling though is Lentz then told the FBI agents;
“…he drove through the night from Florida to Washington D.C., arriving in the early hours of January 6, 2021…became aware of the rally through social media and tweets sent by the President, but stated that he was aware of no preplanned coordination to breach the U.S. Capitol building…”
But according to Lentz he was “just trying to help” law enforcement by locking arms with fire fighters and other first responders. The subtext of the affidavit definitely conveys that Lentz thinks of himself as some kind of honorable hero - which strains credulity. The audacity and mendacity is truly without equal. Did he think that by providing the FBI agents with additional photographs and videos that would some how absolve him of criminality?
I ran a recent docket report concerning Defendant Lenox’ criminal case. His SDFL MJ Case is now closed. After he made his initial appearance (in the SDFL)
I pulled his conditions of release - he had until 5PM (Tuesday February 23, 2021) to turn in his firearms:
Defendant has until 5pm on Tuesday to relocate the firearm where he has no access to it/dispose from residence.
And listen - none of this gives me pleasure - it is deeply frustrating and disappointing. I know that the days following the deadly Jan 6th Insurrection I tweeted to my followers that you needed to mentally prepare yourselves for current and former law enforcement will be identified and subsequently charged. Even I can admit - this really isn’t something you can mentally prepare for. But nonetheless here we are.
And not that my opinion matters but damn he is actually a damn fine decent singer - I found this on his Facebook page. He posted it in February 2020. Boy what a difference one year makes.
