Phillip Andrew Bromley, Paul Allard Hodgkins, and Verden Andrew Nalley* the Trifecta Insurrectionist

*this is not a simple case - February 17, 2021 a Grand Jury (in DC) handed down a three Indictment, with two defendants Verden Andrew Nalley AND William Mccall CALHOUN Jr. /Part I of II

As previously mentioned you really need to bookmark this ProPublica January 6th Insurrection database. They pulled hundreds of Videos posted on Parler and put them into chronological order. Again I don’t know why at the time of publication none of the defendants are listed in the USAO-DC Capitol Database, but nonetheless I would encourage you to bookmark the database

Defendant Phillip Bromley - Praying Insurrectionist

Phillip Bromley is a Physician Assistants & Advanced Practice Nursing Providers/Nurse Anesthetist, Certified Registered - per a search on Anesthesiologists Associated Pc in Birmingham Alabama. On February 17, 2021 Bromley made his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge John H. England III

Relevant Court Documents;

Complaint ECF Affidavit ECF or via my public drive - The government did not request detention, thereafter BROMLEY was released on $5,000 bond (DDC MJ case No 1:21-mj-00227 - Northern District of Alabama MJ case no 2:21-mj-00050 and lastly February 18, 2021 HOLDING ORDER (which I’d normally).

Charge(s); violated 18 U.S.C. § 1752(a)(1) and (2); Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building; Disorderly and 40 U.S.C. §§ 5104(e)(2)(D) and (G) Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building;

The affidavit states that Philip Bromley provided a nearly two minute long video, “4:26 p.m. Near Capitol” -where he recounted what he saw, said and did. In the video interview Bromley stated he was standing about eight feet behind Ashli Babbitt as she was shot by US Capitol Police.

In the video BROMLEY states: “listen…everybody needs to know the truth.” He goes on to describe how he “breached the right side,” “went in,” and “came to two large glass doors.” BROMLEY that he was there to remind SWAT officers “of their oath,” and then a “a gunshot went off” and a woman was “shot her in the neck.” - notice how the interviewer in the video states “so a sixteen year old girl was shot by Police…” BROMLEY response was he didn’t know how old she was, but “she was young”… Video # 1 in the Bromley Affudavit. You can view the full video here This nearly two minute long video was originally posted to Parler (January 6, 2021 4:26PM) and then it was subsequently re-uploaded by ProPublica Capitol-Video database.

The second video referenced in the affidavit can be viewed here - investigators also obtained Security footage from US Capitol Police and subsequent confirmed that BROMLEY was pictured in surveillance footage, see page 6 of the Affidavit

Bromley is currently represented by Michard Jaffe and Michael Whisonant of Jaffe, Hanle, Whisonant, and Knight. His attorneys released a statement shortly after BROMLEY’s initial appearance, the statement reads in part:

"We are in the process of evaluating the substance of the Government’s proof. Mr. Bromley is a well-respected member of the community who served his country and has no prior criminal record whatsoever...”

Defendant PAUL ALLARD HODGKINS 

On February 16, 2021 Paul Hodgins was taken in to Federal Custody in the Middle District of Florida (MDFL). He made his initial appearance before Magistrate Judge Thomas G. Wilson - MDFL MJ Case No: 8:21-mj-01147 Rule 5 Arrest/Affidavit ECF/PACER and DDC MJ Case No: 1:21-mj-00213 Complaint ECF/PACER, Affidavit/Statement Of Facts ECF/PACER

Charge(s); 18 U.S.C. § 1752(a)(1) & (2) Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building; Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building; 40 U.S.C. § 5104(e)(2) Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building;

On January 22, 2021 the FBI received a tip from a confidential witness (CW-1) -who had received a picture from a Friend that depicted HODGKINS’ selfie taken in the Senate chamber. That friend had pulled images from Hodgkins’ Parler account. Investigators compared the pictures from CW-1 and that of the January 2021 New Yorker Article, which also included a twelve minute long video taken by the New Yorker Reporter.

To confirm the identification investigators then obtain Close Circuit TV footage from the Capitol and confirmed that HODGKINS was in the Senate Chamber. On the Twenty-sixth of January Investigators interviewed the Defendant, who informed him that he traveled to Washington DC, alone and took a bus from Florida to DC. Agents then confronted HODGKINS with the two selfie-pictures at which point he admitted that he was in the Senate Chamber.

Also I could be wrong but by my rough guesstimation - more than 39% of all current January 6th Insurrection Defendants, have been appointed Counsel because they qualify via CJA - so YES that means we the tax payers are paying for their Federal Public Defender, too - it’s that great (please note my sarcasm)

Defendant Verden Andrew Nalley

*bonus William Mccall CALHOUN Jr. and Verden Andrew Nalley on February 17, 2021 a Grand Jury handed down a three count Indictment (DDC CR Case No: 21-cr-116) but it is the MJ cases that is mind bending. Again both defendants Calhoun and Nalley now face a three count indictment

The DDC CR case is sealed, but this is why one must also follow the “mj cases” because the February 17, 2021 Indictment was added to the docket on a mj case as an “exhibit”

Count One of the Indictment: charging both Calhoun & Nalley with violation of 18 U.S.C. $ 15f 2(c)(2), (k)-Obstruction of an Official Proceeding

Count two of the indictment - charging both with 18 U.S.C. $ 1752(a)(l )-(2)-Restricted Building or Grounds…

Count three of the indictment - again charging both with; 40 U.S.C. $ 510a(e)(2|-Violent Entry or Disorderly Conduct

Again this is probably why some of my readers follow me. They know that I take great care in reading nearly all the filings on a docket. And that I am able to quickly cross reference between District and Cases. For Example Calhoun Jr’s DC MJ case No: 1:21-mj-00040 the following docket entry

Magistrate case closed for defendant WILLIAM MCCALL CALHOUN, JR., pending deadlines, motions, and excludables. Merged Criminal Number 21-cr-116.

Calhoun & Nalley Indictment- which has not be reported by any mainstream news outlet, (yes I ran a LN search too), so I uploaded it to my public drive

An actual ProTip: sometimes the ECF can be wonky and temperamental, but if you have access to a “district court terminal” then you can actually pull documents. The only hitch is you have to know which docket and which district court to pull the filings off the terminal. It is so weird, it’s almost like I do this for my actual job. You know my -j-o-b of bean flicking and shoving bonbons in my calorie hole, it’s an exhausting schedule <snort>

Verden Andrew Nalley was taken into custody by the FBI and Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office. Prosecutors request that Nalley prosecutors be held without bond (ECF/PACER or via my public drive) a Detention Hearing has been set for 2/19/2021 at 02:00 PM.

The information concerning newly indicted Co-Defendant William Calhoun. I think it’s best that I write a separate article. It’s a lot of info and I’m mindful of the potential “information overload” - the Magistrate Judge’s order is one of the most tersely written, that I’ve read in a while.

For Example some of the filings include dozens and I mean nearly four plus dozen exhibits. With every new filing the prosecutors’ argument for detention grew stronger and stronger.
