…a video on Reddit.com subpage “r/CapitolConsequences” that showed an unknown individual referred to as “#SUITMACER” by social media users. The Reddit video was titled, “#SuitMacer unmasked. He sprayed some kind of pepper spray on many police officers,” and it appeared to splice together two videos taken before and during the riots outside the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6, 2021. In the first half of the video, the unknown individual, referred to as #SUITMACER, is wearing a dark colored suit, white shirt, light colored patterned tie, red colored “TRUMP” hat, and a red colored face mask

…as it should. The increase in hate crimes has increased exponentially. The blame lays squarely at the feet of Donald Trump, his surrogates, Fox News (especially Fox’s “talent” like Hannity, Carlson, Ingram), Federalist, and other purported “news” networks like OANN, Newsmax etc. They created the anti-Asian sentiment associated with COVID-19…

On March 4, 2021 Edward Rodriguez was filmed making hateful anti-Asian rant - for the record I am specifically not linking to the original TikTok user because I believe she’s under 18 years old and I don’t want to make her a target of Trump’s QANON-MAGA supporters.

Also before you ask, yes of course I sent the original (March 2021) video to the FBI and explained that the TikTok users appears to be younger than 18 years old. So help my Jesus if I see anyone comment with the TikTok link on my article, unfortunately I’ll end up banning you. So please respect my decision to post a 3rd party Instagram video of Rodriguez’s rant.

As further alleged in the Affidavit

the FBI received a tip that the individual referred to as #SUITMACER had been identified as EDWARD F. RODRIGUEZ of Brooklyn, New York using open source public records. The tipsters provided a driver’s license photo, police mug shots, and a screen shot from RODRIGUEZ’s Century 21 Real Estate Profile

May 07, 2021 your Affiant viewed a video on Twitter where the individual known as #SUITMACER was being interviewed by an independent reporter. The interview appeared to have taken place on January 6, 2021 near the location of the U.S. Capitol Building, at some point during the course of the riot. #SUITMACER states words to the effect that he is very happy to be there and that, “We made it all the way through.”

Between May and June 2021 the FBI interviewed two of Rodriguez’s former coworkers, each positively identified Rodriguez. Even one coworker made a positive voice identification because one of the videos Agents showed the coworker Rodriguez was wearing a mask…

The FBI Agents then obtained Body Worm Camera (BWC)footage that definitely showed Rodriguez “spraying an unknown substance” on both Metropolitan Police Officers and US Capitol Police Officers. See Yellow circle

As you’ll note on page 8 of the affidavit - the BWC also captured the moments when Defendant Rodriguez sprayed the unknown substance. I would not be surprised when the Indictment is docketed that there will be a “dangerous or deadly weapon” enhancement added to the current charges.

Incidentally the March 2021 Anti-Asian rant might be a separate matter but I genuinely don’t know if or what criminal charges would be applicable. Because as I read the DOJ Hate Crime Laws - I don’t know what he could be charged with. To be clear Rodriguez’s anti-Asian rant is hateful, bigoted and disgusting.

And those who willfully continue to use terms like;

• “China Virus” or

• “Kung Flu”
