The vitriolic and unnecessary violent rhetoric has no place in our political discourse. The recent arrest of Tiffani Shea Gish.
The affidavit is 32 flavors of Coo Coo for Cocoa Puffs. Irrespective how how much you dislike a public a servant —making numerous death threats is unAmerican & super illegal.
Threats of violence have no place in our civil discourse:
While most might think this author is politically biased. There’s one particular red line that I unapologetically will never cross. And if I’m true to my word of being (occasionally) fair and balanced. From time to time that solemn commitment puts me in a position that’s uncomfortable.
So if I’m going to call out the MAGA-Republicans and at times refer to them as domestic terrorist that Trump largely radicalized. Then it’s mandatory to also report the other acts on the other side of the horse shoe. To be clear leaving multiple vulgar and grotesque voicemails threatening to kill an Article III Judge is undeniably unacceptable and reprehensible conduct that should never be condoned. Silence can be inferred as a tacit acceptance.
As someone who’s been (at times a very sharp) critic of Donald Trump and his former senior staff. One thing I’ll never condone is leaving threatening and hateful messages. I don’t know if Defendant Tiffani Gish has an undiagnosed mental disorder but on September 12, 2022 the Department of Justice unsealed the criminal complaint (see SDTX-ECF or via my Scribd account) —after the defendant’s initial appearance on September 13, 2022 the Court ordered a competency hearing.
As you’ll note Defendant Gish was charged with two crimes both of which carry a hefty maximum penalty. See below
Charged violation of 18 U.S.C §115 - Influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a Federal official by threatening or injuring a family member…
Specifically 18 USC §115 (B) with a maximum term of imprisonment of 10 years
18 U.S.C §875 - Interstate communication -which has a maximum term of imprisonment of twenty years
As further alleged in the accompanying Affidavit -FBI agents used Open Source data, primarily Facebook to positively identify Defendant Gish. It appears that Facebook has taken down her account and unfortunately it wasn’t archived. Thereafter FBI agents went to Gish’s home and interviewed her. Where she admitted to the FBI agents that she left a series of increasingly violent voicemails targeting Judge Cannon. The fact that this needs to be repeated is emblematic of just how vulgar our current political discourse has spiraled out of control. I do need to warn you, that the affidavit detailed several voicemails left by Defendant Gish and let me caution you now; the transcript of the aforementioned voicemails are truly shocking. If you are triggered by heinous threats and actual death threats, I would urge you to proceed forward with caution.
Setting aside the fact that Judge Cannon (nor any other Article III judge has the nuclear controls in their living room) the first voicemail left by Defendant Gish is not only unacceptable — it’s down right criminal. I should also warn you the next few voicemails increase in the hateful and disgusted rhetoric…
Hi, yes, this message is for Aileen Cannon, this is Evelyn Salt, I’m in charge of nuclear for the United States Government. Again, Donald Trump has been disqualified long ago, and he’s marked for assassination, you’re helping him ma’am. So, here’s what we’re going to do, we’re going to let you disarm fucking live nukes off your coffee table….how about you sit on an electric chair a couple times over…you think you’ve got the magical ability to pop up from the dead…pretending that you’re on the team of justice. Again, I told you he’s disqualified, he’s marked for assassination and so are you, you stupid botch, stand the fuck down or get shot…and guess what, I’m also Trump’s hitman, so consider it a bullet to your head from Donald Trump himself…

…but threatening a Judge and saying you will Assassinate them in front of their own children is a depravity that some think only reside in Hollywood Scripts. Unfortunately as someone who’s been repeatedly targeting and that included targeting of my own children —reading Defendant Gish’s two subsequent voicemails left with the US Marshal who’s protecting Judge Cannon absolutely made my stomach turn. Making death threats towards any public servant is beyond the pale and unacceptable. But then threatening to carry out said killing in front of the Judge’s own children —again that’s a depravity that I only thought could exist in a Hollywood fictional movie scripts…
During the course of the FBI’s investigation that conferred with the Secret Service who told agents that they were aware of her Facebook post and previous threats made against Donald Trump. After the FBI agents wrapped up their 45 minute interview,
Competency Hearing as to Defendant Gish
Again in no way am I making light of the Defendant’s mental state. As a layperson after reading the excerpt of her three voicemails. The only logical conclusion was she had serious mental health issues That said on September 7, 2022 the Government filed Motion for Competency Examination and Hearing (see SDTX-ECF or via my Scribd Account) ) pursuant to 18 U.S.C. Sections 4241(a-b) and 4247(b-c).
However if you take the time to read the Government’s Motion for Competency Examination -specifically pages 3 et seq -there you can learn that the investigators spoke with Gish’s mother who informed them that Defendant Gish;
..March 17, 2022, SA [proactively redacted by Moi] with the USSS telephonically interviewed Gish’s mother, Airaa Jaeger, who lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jaeger claimed her daughter suffered from severe Bi-Polar disorder and is borderline schizophrenic. Although she did not feel that Gish would physically harm the Former President,she wasstill afraid of her daughter… (emphasis added)
Additionally on pages 3 and 4 you’ll note that Defendant Gish was known to both the CIA and US Secret Service. The preliminary FBI investigation also uncovered that Gish had posted numerous Facebook post which largely mirrored the same language as her September 1, 2022 three voicemails targeting Judge Cannon:
The CIA reported to USSS that Gish has contacted the CIA several times since 2021 using the alias "Evelyn Salt." Gish's correspondence usually contained un-credible, nonsensical information related to nuclear weapons. Additionally, Gish has falsely claimed, on multiple occasions, thatshe worked for the CIA.
July 2017, USSS learned that Gish posted numerous threats toward former First Lady Hillary Clinton on Facebook. Gish posted, "Personal cat toy Killary, come over here you chicken shit disgusting bug infested cunt bag. I have a bullet just for you. Bring your best.” The USSS understood that Gish believed former First Lady Clinton attacked her with "radio waves" which caused her to masturbate.

To be clear there’s speculation that she’s a registered Republican and fashioned herself as “Trump’s hit woman” but my point is, this isn’t a Republican or Democrat issue, this is an American issue. That if we truly are a Nation of Laws and we respect the Rule of Law —then when an individual goes on an unhinged screed threading to kill an Article III judge —then I think that’s a common ground that most sane Americans can agree upon.
Defendant Gish’s Harris County TX Criminal Cases
Having run a further LexisNexis search concerning Defendant Gish, in Harris County TX —in late 2020 Gish was involved in an eviction proceeding, in a case styled as: MAGNIFICAT HOUSE INC. VS TIFFANI SHEA GISH -Case number 1156921 was filed in the Harris County Civil Court on July 16, 2020; “Jp Fax Confirmation' and 'Pauper's Eviction' -additionally a separate search of the Harris County TX Criminal database returns several criminal cases involving Tiffani Shea Gish. As you’ll note in the screenshot below Defendant Gish was well known to local law enforcement. Her criminal history runs from 2004 to 2020 and the charges run the gauntlet of;
August 2004: Case No 125094301010- 2 DUIs, DWI DRIVING WHILE LIC. SUSP. / ENHANCED (M) and INTERFERE DUTIES PUB SERVANT
In each of these aforementioned local criminal cases Defendant Gish was found competent. However on September 12, 2022 the Federal Magistrate Judge Granted the Government’s request to detain Defendant Gish pending a thorough competency hearing. She will be examined by the Bureau of Prisons who have experts in mental evolutions

Regarding the Notice of Resetting hearings, you’ll note that the Court made the determination that no set of conditions could be made to ensure the safety of the Community and that the Defendant would make future appearances.
However I’d like to draw your attention to page 4 specifically the 6th paragraph. Defendant Gish previously made death threats to Secretary Clinton, the Governor of Arizona and as previously noted the local Harris County TX criminal cases which involved assaulting local law enforcement, resisting arrest and several instances of assault.
Again I’d caution those currently saying this disturbed individual is pro/con for Trump or that she’s a Democrat or Republican. Based on the Harris County TX voter database she is a registered Republican but her voting history is hit or miss. In the end this is a very troubled individual who broke the law by leaving multiple voicemails threatening the life of Judge Cannon. There is no place for this kind of conduct. And I’ll reiterate that I think we can find common ground where decency reigns supreme. Because after five years of vulgar indecency —and the every growing disquiet from both sides, it’s way past time to turn the temperature down. There’s one thing to predict potential political violence but to not condemn it is equally disgusting. There is no place for this kind of vulgar threats, especially ones that intimate shooting an article III Judge in front of her children.

Again this isn’t a Right or Left problem —this is fundamentally an American problem. Both parties have fractions of violent extremist in their parties. (whispers but only one side enraged in a deadly domestic terror attack on our Capitol) —more broadly this is also a mental health problem. And a healthcare system that is inaccessible to those who need the care the most. Just so I’m crystal clear what Defendant Gish allegedly did is absolutely unacceptable. There is no place for that kind of dangerous rhetoric. Thankfully the hard working men and women of the FBI did their job. So I genuinely say THANK YOU to the FBI. They are always standing watch. They always strive to ensure the general safety of the American people. These FBI Agents and their families sacrifice so much and until my last breath I’ll be eternally grateful for the FBI and other Federal Law Enforcement who act quickly to protect all Americans
