My hub is a USNA grad and served in Vietnam. I cannot even describe his reaction when he hears about things like this, or about other folks like certain USMA grads who defiled their service by their actions, etc, etc. Thank you for outlining and providing details on these cases.

This seems an ESPECIALLY egregious violation of oath by an ACTIVE COMMISSIONED OFFICER. Thanks for the detailed info, Filey!

I’m not that well versed in the UCMJ but part of me “thinks” (meaning it’s not factual nor do I have documents to support my next statement) perhaps Maj Warnagiris -Article 133 comes to mind:

“conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman means behavior...”in an unofficial or private capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing the individual personally, seriously detracts from his standing as a commissioned officer; unbecoming conduct means misbehavior more serious than slight, and of a material and pronounced character; it means conduct morally unfitting and unworthy rather than merely inappropriate or unsuitable misbehavior”

Here’s a GPO link but again I’m not that well versed in the UCMJ so there’s a chance I’m wrong.

From Huffington Post "He was released on personal recognizance and told not to leave the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area without prior permission from the court. " So, not detained in custody, not on home confinement with ankle monitor, sounds like he is allowed to return to work thus no loss of income consequence. So it remains to be seen if he serves any incarceration time or gets a slap on the wrist.

No Bond, No GPS, no thing and I’m flummoxed that the Govt didn’t request detention- hence why I needed to take a break - I read his release order and PR Bond and ....

I haven't watched any of the videos in a long time. I am apparently over the shock and now just pissed as F. Are there too many cases? What other reason could there be to not hold this oath violator? He is sworn to protect US and the U.S. This has to border on treason
