My heart aches for the women that are directly impacted by these actions. I firmly believe our rights will be preserved, but in the meantime, women will suffer. As you said, most feeling the pain will be African America and Latino women of Texas. I did see there are organizations that will help those with financial concerns, and I truly hope they take advantage of any and all assistance that is offered.

The disproportionate impact on women of color is why I genuinely think this law is entrenched in racism. Fun Fact - the state of Texas is NOT a white majority - if you look at the recent US census data - at 1st glance sure it looks like whites are the majority but the plurality shows that they are not.

Allows for women to make a bounty on unmarried men who refuse to wear a condom, and 3. Sets a new rule that males out of wedlock should get a vasectomy until they are ready for pregnancy.
At least until this horseshit bill gets thrown out in court. 😤

I believe all the Bull sht trump's failed presidency including his administration and barr's DOJ put this country through has a lot to do with the frustrations many on Twitter, including myself, have expressed. Well I saw the alert and was like meh I can cobble together a quick article but then I found myself in the data worm hole.
I genuinely wished the MSM would
1) explain how onerous this law really is
1a) the judicial carve outs
1b) the six year statute of limitations is INSANE
2) the abdication of law makers to deputize the citizenry to enforce this law is -one of the most basic miscarriages of lawmakers
3) the duality of cloaking themselves in sovereign immunity while giving a green light to bounty hunters - makes me see red
