NEW April 2021 Davis & Firtash FARA -Exhibit AB

You might ask “so what - why does this matter” …it’s a new FARA Registration and that’s why I think this needs some blinding sunshine¹

While it’s widely known that Firtash has long retained the services of Lanny Davis and his firm. Notwithstanding after carefully reading through the April 18, 2021 -Exhibit AB FARA #6949 ²

,Please see attached contract. Registrant has been engaged to provide legal services, legal representation in ongoing matters, including working with U.S. and European Co-Defense Counsel, on strategies and services in support of legal and litigation positions. At times, these services may include correcting the record in the media and elsewhere in the face of distortions and inaccuracies and advising on such media strategies for such purposes.

FARA # 6949 - Short Form April 15, 2021

A curious disclosure can be found on page 2 of the FARA Short Form - specifically section numbers 11 & 12 - which reads in part:

Support for legal representation in ongoing matters, including strategies and services in support of legal and litigation positions. At times, these services may include correcting the record in the media and elsewhere in the face of distortions and inaccuracies and advising on such media strategies for such purposes

Which clearly signals that Firtash will continue to pay top dollar for representation and by now you might ask: why is this important?

This is where things get slightly complicated. For Example FARA# 6170-Informational-Materials- pdf -you would have no idea that this filing is linked to Firtash unless you read the disclosure on page 3

Again you wouldn’t know unless you read the whole filing (to be fair Firtash’s goal has never changed, the objective was always to have the DOJ dismiss the indictment) - 2018 FARA# 6394 Amended Filing, see page 4

So the natural question should be - why did Lanny Davis file a new FARA Registration? I believe the answer is partially answered on page 3 of the newly registered FARA #6949 -granted anyone who’s done any minimal research on Firtash knows he’s long held holdings is Cyprus but I believe seeing Cyprus in the new registration is notable. Given previous disclosures mainly had Austria or Ukraine listed (dating back to pro 2016) so seeing Cyprus in 2021 is “interesting”

Furthermore in Exhibit C of FARA #6949 also offers a partial answer.

Again if you followed me on Twitter you would have known that all the way back to October 2019 - I did a lot of research and said Zuberi & Firtash mark that down and during the long and twisted saga of Zuberi my observation was in fact proven correct by the various Government court filings…

so the point? I’d watch that new FARA number let’s not forget the amount of shit aimed at me for daring to highlight that circa 2014 -2018 Zuberi & Firtash - See March 2020 Sentencing Memo https://ecf.cacd.uscourts.gov/doc1/031032712046
