So, I posted something on FB that I saw in an article yesterday.

“The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist”—Charles Baudelaire. It happens to be a quote used in The Usual Suspects referring to Keyser Soze

That's it. That's all I posted. Mind you, I have family magats that can't find their way out of a paper bag. They jumped on this like flies on poop. I never said a word about politics, and they immediately start attacking Biden, Harris, Pelosi... There's an evil haze over the country, and it's taken control of many otherwise mild mannered folk

I think in 2019 and 2020 I said MAGA was a cult - I was incorrect because I think the indoctrination has been overshadowed by the full on radicalization of normal everyday Americans. I completely understand about family — I had several that voted for Trump and later came to regret it - what’s weird is demographically the older family members >60 years old quickly realized how dangerous Trump was & still is but the family members younger than 50 are die hard Trump-believers and there’s no reasoning with them - so when one of us gets on politics I typically yell “how about those red soxs”

hmmm... I have several 70-80 year old "cousins" that are die hard supporters. Funny thing is, they're also weekly church goers. I just can't reason with them. And, my 40 something nephew that recently reunited with the Catholic church, anti-vax, anti-dem, pro-trump. still has the signs in his yard with spotlights on them. ugh...

You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your family. lol

I know that somehow this mass psychosis, my term, or radicalization is a result of social media. It’s self perpetuating and I can’t explain it but it’s become a cancer on society.
