Frank Artiles, a Florida Republican and his co-conspirator arrested & charged
The Trump-GOP is right, there’s a lot of election fraud. For Example disgraced Florida State Senator paid >$45,000 for a 3rd party to enter FL District 37 race
The previously DISGRACED former Florida State Senator Frank Artiles
“going to go through some things”
Let’s summarize what beclownment Frank Artiles willingly bestowed upon himself. Perhaps Frank Artiles thought, the week of April 16, 2017 was the worst week of his political and personal life.
“Miami Rep Sen. Frank Artiles apologized late Tuesday after calling a fellow senator several curse words —using a slur to refer to colleagues who elected Senate President Joe…had risen to his powerful GOP leadership role because “six nigg__s” in the Republican caucus had elected him” -Miami-Herald, April 18, 2017
Not only did Artiles use racist slurs in front of African American Colleagues, but he went a step further into the misogynistic douche canoe of deep stupid… because until such a time a female colleague gets on all fours, starts barking and or humps you to assert dominance -referring to them as a female dog is certainly the height of misogyny.
“ A secret 2014 recording caught Miami Republican Sen. Frank Artiles referring to “ hajis,” a slur against Arabs and Muslims“ Miami-Herald April 18, 2021
This Florida Democrat Party summary is a decent primer of just how craptastic Artiles week of April 16 thru 19, 2017 was. No really it’s quick read and provides you with additional repercussion Artiles faced, like bring striped of committee assignments
March 17, 2021 Articles residence raided
Purportedly Artiles propensity of braggadocios behavior, he actually actually bragged about installing Alex Rodriguez in the Senate race — Artiles did this in several public settings. One of them, the newspaper reported, was at a restaurant in Lake Mary during an election night party for state Sen. Jason Brodeur.
March 18, 2021 Miami-Dade State Attorney Press Conference - announcing charges
“Running a ghost candidate like Alex Pedro Rodriguez is not a crime in Florida…These things are not crimes. Is it an attack on our democracy, is it a dirty political trick? Absolutely. This kind of trick is always used against an existing office holder. It's to confuse the public… However, what is a crime is making illegal campaign contributions to get a candidate to run,” Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle
“…The race had two candidates both named Rodriguez. The incumbent, Senator Javier Jose Rodriguez, and the no-party candidate, Alex Rodriguez. Today we are alleging the November Florida Senate District 37 election involved crimes. Today we are alleging that Frank Artiles paid Alex Pedro Rodriguez almost $45,000 to run as a candidate in this race. Merely to use his name to confuse electors and to falsify qualifying paperwork as a candidate,” Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle
Warrant and Affidavit
You can pull it down from the 11th Judicial District Court of Florida via this link or via this link (there might be a paywall) - or you can access the 25 page Affidavit from my Public Drive.1 - but damnit it occurred to me that in 2020 I had created a few threads about this race and specifically the “ghost candidate Rodriguez”, my recollection was the PAC and dark money made me curious. That and how razor thin this election was…
Republican Garcia won by the narrowest of margins, as in a mere 32 votes versus Democrat Jose Javier Rodriguez. District 37 garnered more than 215,000 votes cast. Alex Rodriguez (Artiles co-conspirator) “ran” as a libertarian (aka a non-party) candidate. The subtext here is Artiles paying Rodriguez - who also has the same last name as the Democrat - who ultimately loss this race.
As the Affidavit discloses Florida investigators initially interviewed Alexis Rodriguez, (who voluntarily agreed to the interview) on December 8, 2020. During the course of that interview Rodriguez provided investigators with the various Facebook Messenger messages he exchanged with Artiles
It is also notable that both Artiles and Rodriguez were both charged with:
making or receiving two or more campaign contributions over or in excess of the limits;
conspiracy to make or receive two or more campaign contributions over or in excess of the limits
false swearing in connection with voting or elections.
At the time Rodriguez was experiencing “dire financial issues” and he took Artiles solicitation as Artiles would compensate him. The affidavit also states that during a face-to-face meeting (at Artiles Palmetto Bay, FL home - Artiles stated in sum and substance that he would pay Rodriguez $50,000.00 in two incremental payments of $25,000.00 each
Oh for goodness sake you dolts put your crime-ing into text messages? Where investigators would later use your own text messages in an affidavit
Wait you met attorney Alejandro David De Varona in a freaking parking lot of Sergio’s Restaurant - where he motorized the fraudulent Candidacy forms?
The Affidavit goes on to elucidate the “opening a new checking account for Rodriguez’s fraudulent campaign. But before Rodriguez and Artile
met in the parking of City National Bank (8311 S.W. 40th Street) where Artile handed Rodriguez $2,000.00 in cash to deposit into the newly opened/created campaign bank account. Did Artiles hand Rodriguez a brown paper bag full of cash (I’m being flippant)
Wait so Artiles had a ledger and after Rodriguez returned from Tallahassee, FL (Rodriguez flew there to hand deliver the notarized “candidacy” forms) he told Artiled that he needed $3,000.00 “for a business transaction” - to wit Artiles pulls $3,000.00 cash out of a safe. Then demanded Rodriguez sign the ledger entry which also stated Rodriguez would give Altiles 30% of what ever profit came “from the business transaction” - I swear I read page 11 and in my head the music from GodFather started playing on loop…
The affidavit further elucidates that Rodriguez a series of other payouts. Apparently Rodriguez did not trust Artiles and decided that he had to find creatives ways to obtain the money Rodriguez felt Artiles owed him. Going as far as to creating a fictions Land Rover.
On October 5, 2021 Artiles provided Rodriguez a cashier’s check in the amount of $10,900.00 for a purported Range Rover he had located for Artiles’ daughter. There was no Range Rover. Instead this was a ploy Rodriguez used because he felt “Artiles owed him more money” - there really is no honor among thieves
And not that my opinion matters but perhaps law enforcement should look into this previous special election too

The highlighted and annotated Affidavit as to Defendants Artiles & Rodriguez can be found on my public drive.
So glad that this is again being put under the MICroscope (see what I did there?) I was really shocked that there were two Rodriguezes on the ballot...and that the win margin was so close, and no questions *seemed* to have been asked prior to the election... Relieved to discover that those wheels of justice are grinding along, mere months later.
Makes my blood boil. Thanks, Filey.
