Dear Spicey, for years I have been in awe of your joy mixed with diligent brilliance and now I thank you for that beautiful poem to awaken to. Here is a magnificent 2006 Procol Harem concert performance of "A Salty Dog" to go with it. I hope you love it as much as I do. Thank you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Gi7Z3-T_qQ

All hands on deck, we've run a float,

I heard the Captain cry.

Explore the ship, replace the cook,

Let no one leave alive.

Across the straits, around the horn,

How far can sailors fly?

A twisted path, our tortured course,

And no one left alive.

We sailed for parts unknown to man,

Where ships come home to die.

No lofty peak, nor fortress bold,

Could match our captain's eye.

Upon the seventh seasick day,

We made our port of call.

A sand so white, and sea so blue,

No mortal place at all.

We fired the guns, and burned the mast,

And rowed from ship to shore.

The captain cried, we sailors wept,

Our tears were tears of joy!

Now many moons and many Junes,

Have passed since we made land.

A Salty Dog, the seaman's log,

Your witness, my own hand.

That is a soul consuming song -in a beautiful but in a primal way - the lyrics are exquisite - they speak to my longing to be back at the beach ...soon-ish we are taking an extended spring break. Many thanks for sharing

Funny you should ask Filey...this is in reference to Texas State Representative for District 73 @KyleBiedermann wants to #Texit. Looks like a scam to raise money. He introduced the Texas Independence Referendum Act January 26, 2021--the page of this date with Glenn Beck's photo on it has been taken down now. He went to the 1/6/21 Insurrection and his photo was taken. But, I don't recall seeing him inside. I can't find the photo of him at this moment but at the time he had a gray/white goatee. These are two very short articles with photos of him.

Hi Filey! So . . . Roger Stone. His name & face keep turning up relative to the insurrection & rioting on 1/6/2021. Any chance that all that this SOB will finally wind up in a jail cell where he belongs? Thank you much for all you do. Your research is so meticulous as to be mind boggling! Have a wonderful day!

Hope Springs Eternal - right? Because I share your sentiments - perhaps I’m being overly optimistic but the recent arrest of Stone’s two “body guards” makes me think investigators and prosecutors are going to squeeze those two defendants. Part of me thinks that a much broader conspiracy case is being built but that’s pure speculation on my part. So it’s okay to be skeptical with my input - I won’t take it personally

Thank you so much for these. They truly help keep me sane. So... beer or whiskey/scotch? And if whiskey/scotch, neat, rocks, or soda?

I remember your thread on James MELS from a while ago - the one that links to 'The Patriot Hour'. You'd reported some people based on BOLOs, were any of them picked up yet to your knowledge? I know they moved MELS along with charges via Info and nothing more seemed to come from his connections to this group (at present). I guess this is mostly about how backlogged the FBI is for these, they're really far behind.

This was one - but I think I noted at least 3 others https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/capitol-violence-images/133-arrested.png/view

Innnteresting, given what he got up to. Nice to know there's been some turnover with it to date! I really respect your ability to dive into social profiles and social media to find additional suspects, it's fantastic.

Thank you for the daily emails to keep us in the loop. Since Gym Jordan is my rep, is there any dirt on him? Seems weird he’s never passed any legislation, never raised more than a few million. Now he’s flushed with cash! Working to try to get rid of him but I’m in deep red Ohio. Assholes won’t even get vaccinated. Thanks for all you do Have a great rest of your week

Man I’m prohibited from talking about Gym-Voldemort a while ago I did a few Twitter threads - IMO the 1st Energy Plant and HR6 should have been his undoing but I kind of petered out on researching him because I realized my objectivity was obscured by my own contempt I have for Jordan

I'm curious how you started out with getting into this kind of work. I would love to know your background / history. Too much to ask, I'm sure, but...

I started out as a Telecom geek but after years of besting a certain attorney (during negotiations) he made me an offer. I politely declined. It took about two years for him to convince me to leave my career and join the firm. Since then I’ve been a W2 and then 1099. The one thing my mentor taught me was learn something new everyday. When he passed away I was pretty much set on retiring but he gave me one last parting gift - making his funeral arrangements in one of DC’s worst snow storms. Consistent with his Jewish faith - I moved literal mountains of snow to ensure he was properly laid to rest. And then his daughter handed me a letter he wrote, presumably on his death bed. If I ever waiver or think I just can’t “do it” anymore I read that letter and it gives me the intellectual sustenance I need to keep going

Thank you for sharing that heartwarming(breaking) history. Through tears I write... Funny, but my Mother told me the same thing. I'm always trying to learn new things. My latest quarantine activity has been repairing stone statues, concrete, plaster and all... He must have been a very wise man, as are you, for taking his advice. Wish my mother had shared her thoughts before she left us. I like to believe she was proud of the person I've become...

I think your mom is looking down and proud of you. My interactions with you on Twitter - the PAC’s blog and now here you’ve always made me feel better. You ask really thoughtful questions and you’ve always been respect particularly in times we’ve had a divergence of opinion. I admire your ability to repair statues and stones. That take a delicate yet masterful touch, something I tend to lack. Although I am at my happiest with sand between my toes or elbows deep in my gardens. Again I genuinely believe your mom is proud of you and how she helped raise a remarkable person (hugs)

Did the recent 60 Minutes interview help of hurt cases against insurrectionists? Why was he allowed to do this and what is his future? Thank you!

Funny that you bring this up - I am literally finishing up the editing of a new article - but I was distracted ... “1-7.400 - Disclosure of Information Concerning Ongoing Criminal, Civil, or Administrative Investigations...” https://www.justice.gov/jm/jm-1-7000-media-relations

I think a decent argument could be made for both harm, spoliation and the need to inform the public - the article is scheduled to be published later today
