I don't understand how the Sheriff can say he didn't know, with a straight face. Or, why.

This is Greek tragedy-level horror. For all involved.

I wish those juvenile stalkers of yours would grow up and back away, Filey.

The war of words between the Sheriff & Prosecutor isn’t constructive, at all. On the stalkers welp it is what it is and apparently I’m still living in their heads, rent free <snort>

A cup of coffee is not enough for the Crumbley case files. The entire family is lost and most heart breaking are the children killed because of them. I hope the prosecutor nails them to the wall. As for their son, Lord have mercy. So young to be so mentally troubled, I hope he receives the help he needs.

Thanks again, Filey.

I am impressed by this prosecutor. We are at a serious juncture and if this sets a precedent of holding parents accountable if the evidence points in this direction, it will send a strong message. I’ve thought about metal detectors in every public school across the country, a strong deterrent too. Arming teachers is a disaster in the making though Ohio politicians are pushing this. We talk about gun laws all of the time & since 2016, have watched states like Texas flaunt their unwillingness to impose any safety mechanism when it comes to guns. At least metal detectors would be a proactive step. Betsy De Voss was another factor in the unraveling of public education & safety. We are seeing a teacher shortage. Between Covid & shootings, we can’t allow this void to be filled w/anti-science or agenda filled people. We are at a crisis. This is domestic terror. I have 3 friends across Europe and we talk daily in our group chat and they think we are insane. They don’t have gun violence. 2 friends in London said even police aren’t armed. They have crime but not this. One friend’s son in law is playing professional rugby in Texas for next 6 months & her first worry was guns.

I’m very conflicted on gun ownership. I lost someone to gun violence but have kid in Marine Corp. I am not a fan but know lots of responsible gun owners.

Regarding stalkers- as they say, you can hang yourself with your own tongue. All of that cruel chatter for attention, will bite them in the butt. They have no defense when this is settled in court. I remember when you weee so ill and had your surgery. I remember you describing your nightmare on twitter. Shame on them. Compassion & empathy make us human. They have none. Be well Filey! ❤️

I haven't made the 30 minute drive across the US border since 2000. Figure that if many US citizens feel they need military firepower at hand to feel safe, it's too dangerous a place for me to visit :)

Another excellent piece I wish everyone would read… the way you lay out the facts and the law always amaze me. I hope this case results in a landmark decision that will have a huge impact. Hopefully it will prompt Congress to enact stronger gun laws and cause American citizens to stop their weird obsession with guns.
