Acting @USAO_DC Michael Sherwin announced a DOJ investigation into #Jan6Attack on Jan 12, 2021 so it wouldn’t it seem SS would have known to preserve evidence?
Then, right before AG Garland was sworn in and Sherwin was kicked off the investigation he did that weird March 2021 interview with 60 minutes. In hindsight it looks like he might’ve been warning the people caught up in the attack,
But either way, a DOJ investigation has been opened already.

He was allegedly told by his superiors at DOJ to stop talking to reporters about the investigation BEFORE he spoke to 60 minutes.
