It’s this segment from @Acosta that I genuinely think every American should watch; my blood ran cold. I was in my home office drafting this article & had the TV on for White Noise and I stopped dead in my tracks and had to back up the DVR three times to make sure I heard it correctly - I did and Trump is a clear and present danger to our fragile democracy . It’s UNNERVING

Indeed - I like the way Acosta merged Trump’s Jan 6 2021 remarks with his Jan 29 2022 stump speech. I don’t want to be dramatic but that’s “provable cause” and absolutely reinforces BOTH mens rea (Criminal Intent) and actus reus (the act itsself) but I’m not an attorney -I’m merely the person they turn to for formulating arguments and counter arguments. I don’t ever encourage harm on individuals. With Trump he’s clearly a “clear & present” threat. He violated his constitutional oath “ "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States….from all enemies foreign and domestic” but ignoring Trump’s Jan 29th speech is not an option. It’s chilling and I’m glad that most major news networks no longer broadcast his speeches live. But again it left hairs on the back of my neck standing up. I’m not one to overly dramatize things but his Jan29th speech is actual “criminal intent”…

What I found super interesting is the time/date stamps of XYZ GOP state party tweets they all occurred within 47 minutes of each other. That’s not a coincidence —those tiny details demonstrably prove absolute coordination ergo my seditious conspiracy allegation. All roads lead back to Eastman and Trump -hence why Eastman invoked the 5th 146 times. 146 times for a <3 hour deposition —that is incredibly important because it’s (albeit circumstantial) but obviously shows consciousness of guilt behavior

One of my bosses preemptively already reserved a hotel room for me - typically my firm either rents an entire floor or they will rent corporate apartments. But I told them yesterday that if it’s inclement weather I’ll pack a bag and stay at the hotel. In 2016 I was caught in a gnarly snowstorm and it took me 6+ hours only to find out that the Committee meetings were canceled due to inclement weather…so with any luck I can in/out of the state house and/or GA chambers before any snow storm hits.
Good to hear. Virginia snow storms are close to the freezing point I imagine so icy roads and freezing rain an issue? Take advantage of the hotel if possible and let the boys have dinner onepot fun? Nothing to worry about ..... Lol
I watched Acosta & I saw the Trump speech & I was also noting that it coincided with one of the MAGA candidates Mike Detmer in Michigan telling his audience to bring guns to polling places. Shannon Watts tweeted that clip of his speech & it truly hit home the following: The push to arm themselves & remove restrictions on gun access & pushing the right to arm themselves, is really something more diabolical. Most followers of Trumpism/MAGA are ignorant about so much of the propaganda they ingest & many have a cult like loyalty to this terror group. So those at the top engage neo-nazis, hate groups like oath keepers & proud boys to unleash the violence. Mike Detmer won’t pull the trigger at a polling place or join some backwoods militia, but his followers will. Look at Gretchen Whitmer & the threat of kidnapping…. Acosta is 100% correct. If we don’t come down harshly on these people now, I shudder to think of what lies ahead. There are accounts that regularly post scenes from MAGA world & people scream about not amplifying…but the only way to get rid of these people, is to show the public why we are at peril. We can’t live with head in the sand & pretend it’s a small sector. Trump is evil…they know what they’re doing. Sow distrust, sow lies & create an enemy….It’s an alarming situation….terrifying.
One thing that goes through my mind, is there are a number of notable members of the GOP that are bravely sounding the alarm. I am grateful for that. A struggle for me is that some have been candid about building this machine & the politics of hate & now regret that…maybe at the time it was clever & winning as a strategy, but it’s way too late to express remorse…the monster is bigger than what they imagined. They don’t know how to kill what they created. It’s brave to call out the terrorist MAGA cult, but man….it’s hard to forgive.
