I am sickened. I understand the reasoning why they can't be prosecuted. In one of the above it states that they have to let the parents take or leave their children. If they didn't do this, or did it half ass where language barrier made understanding difficult and the fools still did it, and the above scum of the earth leaders knew it was happening isn't that a violation. Aren't there fricken ethical or moral standards, and damn it why do we have to care about people screaming about politically motivated attacks. This is an attack of conscious and if everyone steps back as not to cause waves or make the other side angrier, just how far do we have to sink into hell before all fricken burn.

Because those are your feelings and you have every right to feel that way; I know that sometimes I can be brutal when I should be more delicate but I genuinely believe in stating the facts versus intentionally give false hope. I absolutely agree with you that she & others in the Trump admin “should” be prosecuted but the reality is it is very unlikely. I know that’s tough to swallow and I wish I was wrong but on this I know I’m not. And for that I’m sorry
This is why I specifically stayed away from Family law. Because I’m similar to you and find it hard to compartmentalize because reading some of the unaccompanied minors declarations broke me. I did a lot of threads because people needed to read the facts in those declarations...all of it was heartbreaking. Sending you a virtual hug

I’m okay with that too - but Neilsen should be brought back before the respective house committees to answer a very simple question: madam Secretary did you lie to this committee during your Dec 2018 and March 2019 testimony? If she invokes the 5th on that question- welp there you have it...also people conflate the 5th Amendment as a ubiquitous answer, it is NOT. You have to invoke it on specific questions
