What this woman did was beyond heinous it was a hate crimes, yes plural. Before she hit the 14 year old girl “because she thought she was Mexican” this trash bucket hit a 12 year old African American child. So yes, I’m glad she’s going to prison for a long time. Iowa Woman Pleads Guilty to Hate Crime Charges for Attempting to Kill Two Children Because of their Race and National Origin

per today’s DOJ-OPA press release which reads in part;

pleaded¹ guilty yesterday in federal court to hate crime charges for attempting to kill two children because of their race and national origin.

afternoon of Dec. 9, 2019, Poole Franklin was driving her Jeep Grand Cherokee on Creston Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa, where the first child-victim was walking along the sidewalk with another young relative. Upon seeing the children and believing that the victim was of Middle Eastern or African descent, Poole Franklin drove her vehicle over the curb towards both children, striking one of them. Poole Franklin then drove away from the scene. The assault resulted in injury to the victim, including cuts, bruising, and swelling. Approximately 30 minutes later, Poole Franklin was driving her Jeep near Indian Hills Junior High School in Clive, Iowa, where the second child-victim was walking on the sidewalk. Poole Franklin, believing that the child was Mexican, drove her vehicle over the curb and struck the victim, causing serious injury, including a concussion, bruises, and cuts. Poole Franklin again drove away from the scene but was apprehended later that day.

Defendant Poole Franklin is also expected to plead guilty in state court, to two counts of attempted murder of those two children. Her ass belongs in jail until her last breath. Sorry NOT Sorry.

Criminal Information

Two counts which are pretty straightforward - Defendant Poole-Franklin used her car to try and kill two minor victims because they were not “white” - note the last sentence in each of the Counts:

The offense included an attempt to kill. All in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 249(a)(1)(B)(ii).

As defined by; 18 U.S.C. §249(a)(1)(B)(ii)² - OFFENSES INVOLVING ACTUAL OR PER￾CEIVED RACE, COLOR, RELIGION, OR NATIONAL ORIGIN;

Whoever, whether or not acting under color of law, willfully causes bodily injury to any person or, through the use of fire, a firearm, a dangerous weapon, or an explosive or incendiary device, attempts to cause bodily injury to any person, because of the actual or perceived race, color, religion, or national ori￾gin of any person -

(B) shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined in accordance with this title, or both, if—

(ii) the offense includes kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill.

As to Count two (2) - yes the second victim was also a minor…one thing to keep in mind Iowa has state laws that also define “hate crimes” and the fact the DOJ worked in concert with Local law enforcement and prosecutors is a good thing.

Like I said a few hours before Defendant Poole-Franklin she hit the 14 year old girl - she hit a twelve year old boy because he was African American. Incidentally the Court had concern that Defendant Poole-Franklin was mentally competent because what adult uses their car to injury two innocent children. Suffice to say the Court Ordered a competency examination of the Defendant.

It was later determined that Defendant Poole-Franklin was mentally competent to stand trial - she’s just a racist POS who used her car to hurt two innocent children (Also don’t argue with me - this is how the document was scanned in so it’s not my issue that it’s crooked)

the Defendant also received a 3-level reduction for “acceptance of responsibility” - but it’s important to remember that the defendant’s actions caused serious and grave injuries to two children

And now I can finally move this case off of my murder board - I genuinely hope she spends the rest of her natural life in prison because what she did has no place in another wise civil society.

1. I still find it amusing that some on Twitter tried to say I was full of shit for properly using the legalese of “pleaded” not plea but “pleaded” that’s basic law shit 101 and yet some tried to say I was incorrect. Nope you were.
