Putin’s bloodlust knows no bounds.

UNHCR now confirms nearly 1,000 civilians have been killed by the murderous psychopath, Vladimir Putin. The actual number is likely to be substantially higher -these are the UNHCR’s confirmed death

Obligatory trigger warning: the content of this article might be triggering and frankly upsetting. Please proceed with caution but please also understand that facts matter. War is bloody. And the bloodshed of innocent civilians, especially children is beyond cruel —it should be constituted as War Crimes.

United Nations HCR Official Numbers:

For those unaware, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights —almost always tracks and confirms civilian deaths during wars and other armed conflicts. And given how rampant misinformation and disinformation are, it makes sense to help you understand where (and what) to get actually facts and numbers.

I would recommend that you bookmark the following because ever-mindful of the “fog of war” it important that you know where to find verifiable facts.

UNHCR -Ukraine: civilian casualty updates:

• March 21, 2022 a total of 902 killed (179 men, 134 women, 11 girls, and 25 boys, as well as 39 children and 514 adults whose sex is yet unknown)

  • a total of 1,459 injured (156 men, 117 women, 22 girls, and 16 boys, as well as 60 children and 1,088 adults whose sex is yet unknown)

• In Donetsk and Luhansk regions: 992 casualties (248 killed and 744 injured)

• In other regions of Ukraine (the city of Kyiv, and Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions), which were under Government control when casualties occurred: 1,404 casualties (669 killed and 735 injured)

Most of the civilian casualties recorded were caused by the use of explosive weapons with a wide impact area, including shelling from heavy artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems, and missile and air strikes.

As of March 21, 2022 the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, reported at least 115 children had been killed and more than 148 children have been injured. And based on her office’s tweet it appears that the Russian Military “may” have kidnapped nearly 2,400 children to Russian Controlled territories within Ukraine.

Again I’d like to reiterate that those UNHCR numbers are “confirmed” deaths and injuries, from February 24, 2022 to March 19, 2022 —and the actual “unofficial” numbers are likely to be significantly higher.

As if killing hundreds of innocent children wasn’t enough —the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, also announced (during a recent National Telethon) that her office has launched an investigation into Russian Military raping and sexual abusing Ukrainian Women. This is in addition to the probable kidnapping of Ukrainian children and using innocent Ukrainians as human shields.

As of March 20, 2022 -Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova announced that the following Countries officially launched “war crimes” investigation into Putin & the Russian Military:

• Slovakia see referral to ICC, embedded below

If these actions are not considered “war crimes” —then I don’t know what else it could be. Again on March 1, 2022 the Ukrainian Ambassador pleaded with the UN, UNSC, NATO and EU that Putin and the Russian Military have committed countless war crimes, read more here
