I remember this and what was so distressing, is the level of danger you were placed in. Looking back, so many were convinced that those accounts were above reproach. The confounding part of your being targeted and taken off of Twitter, is that your account was the only one providing documents and factual information. In all of the years I followed you, you’ve only offered threads with receipts and your suspicions about Avenatti, were based on your research. One thing that disturbs me to no end and continues to bother me, is the plagiarism. So many of those so called “in the know” accounts decided they didn’t want to believe EG was an abusive serial twitter predator but what about the plagiarism? I struggled with the odd explanation by LB that never called EG out for those abuses. But, as researchers, why wasn’t plagiarism, a hard red line for ditching EG? Stealing someone’s work and passing it as their own, should’ve been the last straw.

I’m glad Avenatti will be held accountable. I too feel bad for his kids. This is a much better platform for you to share your gifts.

In my line of work - that will get you permanently black listed, I don’t think I’ve ever engaged in plagiarism— on rare occasions I would forget to hattip but would quickly offer a belated hattip. I find that people who condone and/or engage in plagiarism are dishonest and intellectually stunted. But your point is spot on

Maaaan, I remember the thick of all that sheeeit and as an observer, being totally lost. I chose you, of course, cuz….spicy always has the receipts! Am sad there was so much hell for you and the fam. Sorry.

Aww - that’s incredibly nice - I’m better now and I sort of feel sorry for him because he brought it all on himself but yes I’d like a chance to provide the Court with a victim impact statement but then again he didn’t steal from me. I feel awful for his clients —one of whom we later did some consulting for because he stole millions from her and she quit social media for a while. Some of us were genuinely concerned she was going to take her life, so in the grand scheme of things what he did to me was nothing —when compared to what he did to his clients.

As soon as I heard the news, I knew you would have much to say. Avenatti's hubris was a red flag that you quickly took and proved there were more, worse ones. That SOB caused so much drama on twitter. I had no idea it included plagiarism from EG, which as a teacher makes me see red. I also had no idea how bad the doxxing was. Your strength and commitment to the truth truly blows me away.

I always forget to ask this, but M Geragos was a partner with Avenatti and I had read he was also implicated in the Nike story. I’m assuming he was cooperative but he’s kind of shady too.

I used to ride the school bus w/his younger brothers when I was little. He was schoolmate of my older brother. His dad was a defense attorney too. There’s a lot more to this story but what really turned my stomach for good was MG on court steps calling the Michael Jackson victims liars. Later, his representation of Scott Peterson was horrifying because he turned that trial into a celebrity murder circus. Lacey Peterson deserved better than to have her her short life and the life of her unborn child, forever memorialized by the antics of Peterson and the camera hog MG.

One of my friends, I know I was telling you at the time, but it seems like a million years ago, worked for one of the networks covering the R. Kelly trial at the courthouse in real time, and was messing me about him when they would 'cut' about what a douchenozzle he was. Absolutely no one was impressed with him, thought he was an earnest person there to help victims, and didn't want to give him any time, and then....bloop. He was gone.

Oh, I remember back then when you pointed out there is something fishy going on with him...and you were 1000% correct. I had no idea you were harassed like that—so sorry to hear this.

It made my life hell for a couple of months and my decision of not returning to the cesspool of Twitter might be the healthiest decision I’ve made for my own self care but YES I received multiple death threats because that Ahole also released my home and cell numbers

Well, it may give you no gratification to see his comeuppance, but it does me (though I am sorry for his children; I agree). Having drunk his "Basta" Kool-aid, I was shocked to be shown the light (via you, who is always an impeccable source of truth) and glad that (notwithstanding Nike, etc) Stormy Daniels (and others, of course) is (are) no longer put-upon by her (their) attorney.

I got a ton of hate but in the end I knew the facts would cut through the screaming goats. I mean I’m not looking down the barrel of 200+ years in prison - remember I said the Nike case was small potatoes because the CDCA case is almost entirely on paper. I was genuinely shocked people didn’t realized that an affidavit with pages for the table of contents is where the real juice was/is… the best thing Avenatti could do is shutter all his social media accounts, stop calling publishers to pitch his book and negotiate a plea agreement with CDCA prosecutors because they have him dead on rights and in my industry a case on paper is one you take a plea on

I remember watching Gina dox you in real time. That was insane but I didn’t realize he was behind the second dox. All of this is so messy. I hope everything gets, legally, sorted out. Also, plagerizers suck. 🙃
