The United Nations General Assembly voted to suspend Russia from the Human Rights Council. Criticism of how feckless the United Nations has become is entirely accurate and deserving.
Congratulations are definitely in order for Madam Justice! The GOP traitors who walked out during the applause should just move to Moscow so we can keep fixing the damage done.
Kudos to the UN for suspending Russia from the Human Rights Counsel. However, it's mind-blowing that they remain the head of the Security Counsel.
Thank you for the picture of the sun. It's been days since we have seen it here in southern New England. Ugh!
Whispers (don’t be mad) those are videos 😬 but yes today I’m so happy to be an American and beyond thrilled. I do think it will be kind of interesting bc her term won’t start until Oct 2022 <—meaning I’d BOLO for her to either continue to serve as. USCCOAs-DC or if she’ll take a few months off and enjoy family time. Irrespective I am truly happy about today’s vote
Thanks, AS ALWAYS!, Filey! Chris Burgess agrees with you about kicking RU off of UN Security Council. He goes farther to state that RU should be suspended from UN til they clean up their act. Here's his tweet: https://twitter.com/burgessct/status/1512103491078017024
Chris is spot on -as per usual and I tend to agree with him -Russia should be expelled from the UN & then president Biden should expel ANY remaining Russian diplomat(s) and their children (even adult children attending University here) from America. Because that’s where I am. I don’t have animus for all Russians but I want Putin, the Oligarchs and their family to feel absolutely isolated from the otherwise civilized Globe. Maybe Putin & his cronies can hop on a rocket and go live on Mars <—sorry not sorry
Today was a good day in the USA, even though the rain still hasn't let up in PA - neither has the war in Ukraine - pray for peace - Slava Ukraine
I hope you don't mind if I share something with you. I have a cousin that is a very talented writer and her husband was assigned to US Embassy in Russia. I'd like to share something she wrote if that's okay...? I believe more than a few people that follow you might be interested in AFSA..
