I -think- they are slotted for the first part of May —but the 4/22 filing was a MOAB and I sort of think (it’s a leap of faith) that Main DOJ has already launched an investigation into Meadows… but back to the public hearings. My biggest concern is the weaponization by the Trump-Republicans of the HSJ6 findings. Trump is a financial whore. Everything is transactional for him. If the HSCJ6 keeps the finding of facts a-political then perhaps some of the Indoctrinated MAGA cult can be de-programmed but I’m kind of concerned about pushing too far into late spring & summer —knowing midterms are a blink of an eye away. I hope that makes sense
I hear you. I will say this though. I have a lot of faith in Adam Schiff and Jamie Raskin's ability to stick to the facts & state them persuasively. Bennie Thompson is an astute political scientist. I'm really hoping he will allow these two gifted attorneys to present the committee's evidence. Time will tell.

I genuinely believe the camps have already made up their minds. Meaning it might be difficult to punch through the Trump-MAGA screaming goats. A few weeks ago I jokingly texted a friend on the bill. The discussion revolved around “how to deprogram indoctrinated cult members” and my friend was like “damn you called this in 2016 that Trump is a cult leader” and my response was but have you or your bosses read:
“Deprogramming, Brainwashing and the Medicalization of Deviant Religious Groups
Thomas Robbins and Dick Anthony” this might behind a paywall but it’s worthy of reading
Because that white paper is kind of extraordinarily detailed on how to deal with cult members and deprogramming.

I was employed for approximately 30 years in the legal field as a paralegal in the admiralty insurance defense field, and additional years in general civil litigation.
