#TermLimits all around for politically held seats, whether they're voted in by "The People" or by Congress. No one should have a "lifetime" position in a political arena. That includes SCOTUS because, let's face it, it is a political process that secured their seat...

Hi Spicy, I hope you're doing well today. I keep seeing your car in my thoughts and I think you are all very lucky not to be seriously injured.😳💗

I was happy to see your article on the possible expansion of the courts. I've watched Senator Whitehouse on a couple of YouTube videos where he laid out several facts pointing to DarkMoney (federalist society Leonard Leo and conservative groups) donors financing the take over of the courts. I am very worried about the behavior of a few judges. Roberts, Barrett, Thomas, and Alito. Then of course there is kavanaugh & Gorsuch. The first four I mentioned seem to feel it necessary to reiterate that the supreme court & it's judges are independent from any outside influences. 🙄 Kavanaugh is a questionable justice and Amy has never tried a case. What's up with that?🤷

Anyway, I truly don't trust the current make-up of the SCOTUS. I don't trust Roberts, Ginni Thomas is all up in the federalist society/Justice Thomas has history of misconduct with women, kavanaugh was never truly investigated because of Chris Wray (BTW he should be fired), Amy was being paraded, by mcconnell, infront of conservatives like she's some kind of trophy, and now justice Alito is barking at journalists and I find it odd. BTW, I Do think the current make-up of the SCOTUS is a "dangerous cabal." I can't trust they aren't influenced by outside entities.😏

I felt your article was very good I'm going to post it on Twitter.👏😉 I have a question, you mentioned that Congress has the ability to change the SCOTUS. I was confused because I thought any changes, within our government, needed to be voted on in the House and then they go through the Senate, like the process of any legislation. While reading your article it seemed you were saying Congress has the sole power to change the SCOTUS. Did I misunderstand?😳

I have seen HR2584, but I didn't know the Senate had also introduced a similar bill.

Well if Congress has the power to expand the SCOTUS I think they'd better do it before the November 2022 elections. There's no doubt in my mind that a lot of the voter suppression law challenges will end up there. Not to mention women's healthcare issues, and same sex marriage etc. Like Senator Whitehouse has stated we don't need to speculate about what the conservatives "DarkMoney donors"/GOP members are aiming to do because they've actually told us what they are planning. "Why not take them at their word?" (Senator Sheldon Whitehouse)

If Nancy Pelosi and the house democrats let this go on and do not use the powers afforded them by the framers it would be a travesty.

As Jim Carvel and others have stated "Nancy Pelosi is as tough as nails." If she's not making it clear, to her Dem caucus, that democrats must protect the rights of the American people she's derelict in her duties.

For the past two months all we're hearing about is how the states have passed voter suppression laws, state bans on abortions, and anti-vaccine/anti-mask legislation, surely these attacks will end up at the SCOTUS.

As I've stated "I don't trust the current make-up of the SCOTUS."😏 I don't see how anyone else can either.🤨 Letting the American ppl believe Biden is the one who chooses to change the SCOTUS is complete nonsense.

Your article, BTW it's awesome, has me feeling like there's still hope for US citizens. This rigging of the voting system is outrageous, and I certainly don't trust voting machines. If the SCOTUS was on an even keel I wouldn't feel so hopeless.

Thank you for your answer to my message. You're truly a good person. I feel guilty for taking up your valuable time. Your family must be recuperating from last weekends events. Please enjoy your weekend my dear. 🤗💗😉🌅😎⛱️

If Congress decides on this I assume it's a simple majority? Then assuming YES, doesn't that mean it gets House approval and then requires the dreaded Sinema Senate vote as she ramps up for her post-congressional lobbying career - working for those "we need a Conservative court system" interests she is meeting with constantly these days? (Manchin would cave on this I think - but Sinema has been lured in by the dark side based on my observations of her behaviors.)

That’s the problem — Democrats always end up punching themselves in the face. The party in-fighting is, frustrating. Margins in both chambers are super slim, so even if the House approved the 2021 Judiciary Act (increasing SCOTUS to 13 seats) there’s no way I can see the current Senate also passing the Act. Which is why I loathe both Schumer & McConnell. I personally think Schumer needs to retire -he’s a shitty legislative leader and can’t solidify his razor thin majority… Chuck & Addison both need to go -it’s bonkers they’ve been in the Senate for 3+ decades. Effectuating real judicial reform takes courage and Schumer doesn’t have the nuts.

Oh I see, so it still needs Senate approval. I've been saying this for months, "No meaningful legislation will pass in the Senate until we have a true majority of Democrats."

A while back mcconnell stated he and GOP were not going to approve any of President Biden's legislation. Every time mcconnell makes public statements about what he plans to do, he does exactly what he says. Now he has both manchin and sinema on his side, so I believe NO legislation will pass in the Senate.

I'm sick of this. For four years GOP did nothing but protect trump, pass their TaxScam and taxCuts for the rich. Now they are obstructing legislation created to help Americans. It's sickening how people continue to vote for republicans when they do nothing for citizens.

Something strange is going on. Both mcconnell and Lindsey were truly worried the summer of 2020, and then just before November their behavior changed. They became confident and arrogant again.

I believe voting machines have been compromised in Florida, Kentucky, Maine, Texas, and South Carolina. Something just isn't right. Jenn Cohen pointed out ES&S machines are questionable. If GOP are allowed to continue cheating during elections, if that is what is happening, we are truly doomed. If it's not the machines then perhaps the voters aren't paying attention.

Idk what the hell is going on in West Virginia. They've been identified as the second poorest state, and I don't believe Kentucky is any better. Florida is paying with their lives for having desantis as governor. I just hope people vote in Midterms. voter turnout is getting better with every election. I sure hope it continues.🤞

Schumer won't go because he has convinced imself he's smarter and more agile than he really is. In reality, he's not a gunfighter. He's that old west sheriff who still doesn't carry a gun despite murders occurring throughout his town. "We don't know those are bullet wounds" despite the evidence in front of everyone. <shrug emoji>

I agree about Chuckie, he really needs to be tougher. His recent remarks, although I love that he placed the blame where it belongs, about GOP being at fault for the debt debacle it only gave manchin a reason to continue siding with mcconnell and the obstructionist cult.

It's perfect timing that I had not read this until today after getting pissed off about SCOTUS looking into curbing the power of the EPA. Expanding the courts will certainly stop this evil majority from doing more damage to our healing systems.

I have also always thought that term limits should be imposed for Congress and all parts of government. If our Constitution is meant to be a living document, then it's time to breathe some fresh life into this aspect. Unfortunately, too many in charge thrive on power, so it's unlikely they would pass such legislation.
