I didn't get to see the earlier antics as I was at the dentist. But when I got home, I found myself appalled not only by the defense attorneys' specious arguments but also their rudeness and unprofessional attitude. Would it have been out line for Senator Leahy to step in and remind them of proprieties?
Based on Senate Rules Van der Veen was completely out of line. When he asked the House Impeachment Attorneys and Senators “who asked that question” when he said being in the Senate chamber was the worst day of my life - you dingus how do you think members of Congress felt knowing thousands of Trump’s Mob were hunting down lawmakers. Jerk needs to read the room but yes I agree his lack of decorum was beyond offensive - 3rd rate personal injury attorney go back to Philly and never come to my City again... yup that’s where I am and I’m not sorry
