Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that Brett Blomme - on May 12, 2021 a Federal Grand Jury ALSO indicted him
Again in our judicial system, a Defendant is afford a presumption of innocence but good lord talk about monstrous crimes. It was difficult to read the WI-DOJ complaint.
A quick biography; he’s 38 years old, he’s married, has young children, he served as a Judge in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, he was also the CEO/President of Cream City Foundation which has a statement on their website (see the embedded link)
On March 17, 2021 the Wisconsin Department of Justice formally announced1 Child Pornography Charges Filed Against Milwaukee County Judge
charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography.
Each count is a Class D Felony, punishable by a fine of not more than $100,000 or imprisonment of not more than 25 years, or both.
Each charge also requires a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 3 years initial confinement.
The defendant Brett Blomme, a Circuit Court Judge in Milwaukee County, allegedly uploaded several images of child pornography through a messaging application in October and November 2020.
Investigators obtained records linking those uploads to the defendant. Additionally the WI-DOJ investigators obtained search warrants for the defendant, his chambers, his vehicle, and his residences in Milwaukee and Dane Counties.
And no I’m not crossing my red line of doxing the Defendant. Again this is the State of Wisconsin Complaint:
Counts One thru Seven;
POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
The separate counts aggregate various dates from October to late November 2020 the Defendant allegedly possessed and uploaded child pornography.
The above-named defendant on or about November 1, 2020, at [REDACTED] Drive, Cottage Grove, in Dane County, Wisconsin, did, having attained the age of 18, knowingly possess a digital recording of a child engaging in sexually explicit conduct….contrary to Wis. Stat. § 948.12(1m) and (3)(a), a Class D Felony, and upon conviction may be fined not more than One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000), or imprisoned not more than twenty five (25) years, or both.
The CyberTip provided details of Kik messaging application user, “dommasterbb,” had uploaded images and videos consistent with child pornography through the Kik application. The Defendant purportedly did so on 27 separate occasions in October and November of 2020.
If I’m reading the statement of probable cause correctly (spoiler I am) then the Defendant was accessing child pornography and uploading it from a Government IP address and likely from his chambers. This is when I tilt my head back and the last of my Fs slowly escape my lips.

The facts stated in the Statement of Probable Cause are incredibly difficult to read and I may have puked a little in my mouth. So please proceed with caution, but pages 7, 8, and 9 are just disgusting. Partly because Defendant Brommel was a Judge in the Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court, he used his Court/Government email address and he used the Government IP network to not only view the monstrous child pornography but he took it a step further by uploading numerous videos.
Regarding Counts One thru Seven - each state the time/date stamp, file name and then an abbreviated description of the contents of the videos. For Example: November 1, 2020, the Defendant uploaded a video, which was a one minute and thirty-seven seconds in length.
…found that they met the definition of child pornography under Wisconsin law….The video began with a close view of, what appeared to be, a young prepubescent Caucasian boy
Again I’m going to warn you that the video descriptions are incredibly detailed and disturbing. If you are easily triggered please stop readying now.
Setting aside (your obligatory) “in our Judicial system every defendant is afforded a presumption of innocence” —good god almighty, there is truly a special place in hell for these kind of sickos that; produce child pornography, those who possess it and then upload it. No really there is a special place in hell for these sickos.
“…SA Taubel frequently uses the terms “pubescent” and “prepubescent.” SA Taubel has no formal medical training in the use of those terms but in applying them SA Taubel relies on her experience as an investigator and her common experience. … the Defendant used the same email address that was used to communicate with Blomme’s Wisconsin court email, to order holiday cards with his family’s photo, to communicate with his children’s school, eand to refinance his home…Blomme is charged with violating Wisconsin Statute 948.12(1m)
Individual B also showed [two special agents] text message conversations Individual B had with Brett Blomme regarding days Blomme was at Individual B’s house. Some of those dates coincided with the dates from the Kik records when “dommasterbb” used Individual B’s AT&T internet service to upload child pornography videos and images.

Which charges Brett Bromme with 2 counts of distributing a visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct. The indictment alleges that on October 30 and November 1, 2020, Blomme sent a file containing an image of child pornography to another user via Kik Messenger.

Yet in the Federal Indictment (Count Two) the Government alleges that Defendant Bromme — “… sent a file beginning with "ee716626,"
So that begs the question - is this a typo in the Federal Indictment? (Which is entirely possible because well Duh typos happen all the time in court filings) Or are there other child porn videos that the WI-DOJ chose not to include in their Criminal Complaint… here I uploaded a highlighted and annotated copy of the WI-DOJ Bromme Complaint
And if you want to give me a hard time about “tiny details” in court filings, well I happen to be paid pretty well for finding those details because in my industry those tiny details actually matter - a lot
