It's always so pleasing to read the court docs. Thank you!

Voting is indeed the cornerstone of our democracy, and Clarke is our warrior. I look forward to seeing more.

I can promise you this - you won’t be disappointed —she’s meticulous — remember Trump’s BS voter integrity commission?

Yup Clarke spearheaded that

I do remember this happening and being furious about the hypocrisy regarding emails after hearing so much nonsense about Hillary's. Clarke is definitely a force for justice.

You know, I forgot about the Hillary nonsense for five minutes lol. But add that to all the other bullshit they’ve been doing and I’m ready to see some damn justice served hot and fresh.

She’s a freaking gladiator who’s spent most of her adult life fighting for civil rights - the Senate GOP and more broadly the GOP tried to derail her nomination with disgusting smear tactics. They are absolutely terrified by her and her abilities to zero in on onerous and flagrant civil rights violations. I truly mean this - I wish Georgia et al well and luck because they are about to go through the justice sieve and that makes me happy

I actually don’t disagree with your opinion as it relates to state legislators - because elections have consequences. The main issue I have is the front facing attack on specific voters. If you look at the basic numbers (US Census) the only voter base that has increased is the African American electorate. What Georgia’s new law does is it strikes (with surgical precision) predominately black voters. It’s the “souls to the polls” limiting the time is a beyond restrictive because the intended consequence is to limit black voters access to the polls. When you view it collectively the Georgia law is like Jim Crow on steroids. That said I personally do not have an issue with showing your ID so you can vote —but I’m mindful that after Katrina hit thousands of (predominantly) black voters relocated to GA, TX, MS etc and their “documents” ended up being washed away in the flood waters. In general I think if you can state a case that you are who your SSN says you are then at a minimum you should be allowed to cast a ballot (provisional) or regular ballot. I’m also mindful that in the South black voters do tend to be targeted by onerous laws enacted by the State Legislature
