I cannot WAIT for the televised hearings! I want to see these insurrectionist traitors made to answer for their treason. 🤬🤬🤬 On a personal note, I'm glad to hear that you are beginning to feel a bit more yourself after your recent losses. For some reason your comments made me think of this Gloria Estefan song written shortly after the bus accident that nearly killed her. I hope you're holding the hands of your loved ones as you continue to work through your grief. Be well Filey.

Be patient and kind with yourself….you’ve had a lot to process. ❤️

When I read about the reconnaissance tours of the Capitol, my blood boils. It will be worth the wait to see any and all members of Congress who participated in the traitorous attempt to upend certifying a democratically elected president, be held accountable to the letter of the law. May they never hold office and May the same punishment apply to them as their band of misfits.

Mama I just updated the article after I tracked down his Jan 6 2021 interview —either he lied on Jan 6 2021 or he lied during today’s statement. I can’t wait for next month’s public hearing

He will send you messages from beyond the veil for as long as you need them.

As far as Loudermilk, Bobert, Greene etc...if I were them I would be nervous. No good lawyer worth their salt would represent them. They are in a shit ton of trouble

People do not realize just how deeply this country was betrayed. Also, HJ6 and the DOJ both more than likely have the receipts

Oh File-y please take all the time you need. Hopefully the salt water and salt air will help calm your soul and restore your inner peace. As an aside, what kind of bird was it?😉Take care and keep those toes in the sand.

I’m trying but some days are easier that others but it’s almost like I don’t have any more tears left. Oddly I find my extracurricular Substack activity is the healthiest way to channel my energy. Also ME MISSES our twitter interaction but thank you (again) for finding me.

I have to say I had no idea who Loudermilk even was until the news. Then thankfully you put this out to pull it all together. Scummy bottom feeders, the lot of them! I am so looking forward to the 9th when the hearings start. Thank you for all your work on here. You are the Best!

Grief appears to become a new normal when there is loss of life. So much more when at ones own hand. Those left question themselves. You can't just miss someone, you end up wondering as well. <--my experience. So, it is more painful. Take the time to be good to you. And look to the birds and beyond...

41 years and one of my university classmates is still being remembered and grieved. Hang in there and take your time :)

I’ve come to the conclusion that grief is an never ending process. The fact you’re still grieving is a testament to what a compassionate and decent person you are and the loss of your classmate had a deep impact on you. Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot

Thank you so much, Filey. For everything. Truly. May you and yours, and his, find peace at some point.

Ease yourself back in... you've been through a lot. I'm looking forward to hearing if this all connects somehow with the architect of the capitol, the seeming knowledge of the insurrectionists where the weak structural points were, and how they got that knowledge. And from whom. I'm glad to see the petty meta and the snark are ascending once again!!!

Read the beginning of your letter...

My dear, my dear, my dear

So sorry

It’s okay -three weeks ago I was an absolute mess. I can own that but tomorrow marks 3 weeks since his memorial service and I am far closer to accepting his death than I was at the beginning of the month. The last week of April and first few weeks of May —I wasn’t in a good place but I could hear my boss telling me to “get back in it” but no kidding that bird pooping on my head I genuinely think that was him telling me to “pull my head out” but damnit I really miss him

From emptywheel on The Twitters:

Folks: RE DOJ's urgent letter: Proud Boys' discovery deadline is tomorrow. If something comes up--most notably with Jeremy Bertino's testimony, which I'm not sure was publicly reported-- could blow the entire trial, and with it the follow-on trial of those who conspired w/PB.

To explain: These entries in a dated discovery index are likely related to Jeremy Bertino, whose deposition was shown at the first hearing last week. If something he told Jan6 conflicts w/what DOJ has in hand, it could blow the trial.

Q: Should we worry? Does this concern you?
