I’m interested in this Hovakimian’s role. But also, curious about the line about elected officials calling DOJ with more information [“asked for number (he had it anyway)”]

Did other elected officials call the DOJ with “additional info”? Or did they realize that this would implicate them in a crime (as detailed at the start) and not call at all?

All excellent questions and I’m not going to insult you with a BS answer - I genuinely don’t know —but what’s apparent is the House Oversight committee have receipts and that delights me. A lot

So helpful to have the scribble deciphered. Crazy shit! (Again). Thanks!

The 'first' big thing that jumped out at me.... "People are angry. Blaming the DOJ for their reaction." Over the last 4-5 years, but especially the manic panic of the last few months he was in office, you could have inserted X for any party, GA, AZ, FBI, DOJ, Bill Barr, and on and on and on, because he has no range of insane motion, he just repeats the same insanity. ....He KNOWS he is full of sh@t, which is something people try and lean on (maybe he believes it), and this is utterly apparent, with how easily he was willing to move on from 68% to .0063%. He didn't even blink! Just 'ok.' Then he gives a hat tip to my neighbor Russia Ron....no....just no....

I think to some degree Bill Barr took the cowards way out - he left more junior people and actual trump sycophants “in charge” and I kind of understand why AAG Rosen was limited in his previous testimony (May & June) he didn’t have the official DOJ sign off on waiving privilege and until it was official -it wasn’t his privilege to waive, which is why I bristled at some on the Blue QANON-sense rage tweets

I couldn't agree more. Barr, instead of sounding the alarm and/or standing strong (Trump was a tool and means to an end he 'thought' he could control) he fled. I completely feel that their hands were tied in testimony at that point, but they were walking up to the line as much as they were able, dropping the right 'turn of phrase' to drop breadcrumbs, which is what happened.

Trump is indeed a danger to our country. These notes prove just how desperate he was to change the outcome of the election. May all involved actually pay for this.

And wow, the NYE party much have been very interesting.

The gravity of the crimes Trump tried to commit against our County’s free & fair election is what happens when a narcissistic-sociopath is given a taste of real power. That’s not me trying to be overly dramatic it’s me looking at the handwritten notes and fully understanding the depths & lengths Trump went to…whispers if Americans knew all of the facts —you would think it was some fictional book —it’s not. It’s what Trump & his sycophants did & it’s an affront to our Democracy and our County

Absolutely agree, and it's all in writing.

Keep reading this in small parts as well as the transcribed notes. Vice President Kamala Harris is quite a tough questioner. I love her. One thing that gives me much anxiety, is about how close we came to utter breakdown of our democracy. After installing willing cohorts in different agencies, firing capable professionals and going down the lines of command to find the one willing Trump loyalist, we came deadly close to losing our democracy. He is a poison who has inserted his toxic pathogen into every part of our government and military. It will take all of our effort to rid ourselves of these people. They are dangerous and un-American. It truly is different reading actual conversations from the transcription than from an article. I keep uttering “God give us the strength”....no words...again, no words to describe how terrifying this is. Thanks Filey! Hope you have a lovely weekend.❤️

I should disclose the accuracy of the transcription is probably >90% —but it was kind of like hitting a brick wall at full speed - once I started transcribing I was like holy crap Trump isn’t just deranged he’s dangerous

YES. And thank you so very much for transcribing!

Seeing the depths of trump's corruption & insanity (even though we've known it) literally made me sick. And the fact that career politicians bent to his will right into the abyss is...😱 indescribably terrifying (again, even though we've known it). The only thing that got me through your FAB article, Filey, was the treat of watching Madame VP (then Senator) Kamala Harris SKEWER hovakimian to the wall of fact-based testimony. BRAVA LADIES!!!!

I mean I’m a fan of total bad ass boss ladies and madam VP certainly fits that bill. But I agree the depths of the corruption of Trump’s criminal intent —every single Republican Senator that voted to acquit Trump - remember their names and remember their votes and then use your power at the ballot box…
