Texas voting restrictions bill to be signed into law Sept 7, 2021. Ken Paxton Files too
Why does the Texas apparently hate brown & black Americans so much? Between SB8 & the passage of SB1. Can we do a poll and see which State is more racist than Texas? And my archived Ken Paxton files.
Texas SB-signed in law —Governor Abbott’s Office released a media advisory in the late evening of September 6, 2021, announcing he would sign Senate Bill 1 at a press conference in East Texas at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Because one would think that Voter Fraud is so rampant in the Lone Star State that naturally there have been countless criminal prosecutions of Voter Fraud. For now put a pin in that, we will get into the actual data and facts, regarding Texas’ “purported wide spread voter fraud”
TX AG WARREN KENNETH PAXTON files, lots and lots of files.
Again if the empirical data affirms that there is wide spread voter fraud, then of course States (and the Federal Government) should legislate to protect the sovereignty and integrity of our Country’s electoral system. And surly Texas’ greatest arbiter of the Truth, Law and Order —could easily cite or produce the voter-fraud criminal cases Ken “Insider Trading 1” Paxton prosecuted. He would surly be in possession of the prerequisite voter fraud prosecution(s), right?
I can’t quantify how many threads or the countless hours I spent on Ken & Angela Paxton. Those threads were impeccably sourced, including links to countless original documents. Research requires actual proof in concept, or what I like to say; I’m a collector and curator of fact filled receipts. It is one skill that I’m generously compensated for. Heretofore, attempting to scour the Internet chasing the ghost of @File411 — I loathe having to redo research. Generally speaking I don’t know anyone who likes to redo their work. Nevertheless I’m slowly accepting the fact all of that research is gone. But the tiny silver lining is that doesn’t mean I don’t have access to my archived files.
For Example Paxton’s Insider Trading scandal:
July 27, 2015 - Indictment -Insider Trading
July 21, 2015 - State Bar of Texas grievance filed
April 8, 2021 -Knight Institute v Paxton -Twitter block button finger gets a pretty robust work out. True story Paxton, his wife, his then Chief of Staff and campaign manager blocked me on Twitter after I started asking rather probative questions concerning the millions in “loans” that Paxton lent to his wife’s State Senate race. He charged 8% interest on those loans.
July 21, 2021 - Texas State Bar Grievance -among the signatories, four former Bar Presidents.
the July 2021 Bar complaint focuses on Paxton’s conduct wherein he urged the Supreme Court to entertain was against Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin.
the relief sought in that absolutely insane SCOTUS filing, would have overturned the results of the presidential election. Meaning Paxton wanted the PA, GA, MI and WI electoral win overturned. Thus making Donald J Trump (the biggest and sorest) loser magically the winner
On August 24, 2021 the Texas State Bar, specifically the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel sent LDAD a formal written notice —In addition the letter also disclosed that it had opened an investigation into Ken Paxton’s conduct, stating in part:
“…determined that the information provided in the complaint 2 alleges Professional Misconduct or a Disability, or both. Accordingly, Mr. Paxton will be ordered to submit a response to the complaint within 30 days from receiving notice of his need to respond.”
I intentionally “bolden ” the word “complaint” as it relates to the grievance filed by Because there’s an official process and the TX Bar’s August 2021 Letter/Determination meant that
On August 24, 2021 Paxton Investigates himself for allegations of bribery, insider trading, abuse of office, employee retaliation, abuse of public trust, misuse of State Resources and then unceremonious clears himself of any wrong doing. The 374 page report and it’s an amazing read filled with subterfuge, equivocation, conclusory assertions…but note the slight of hand
“AG Paxton’s actions were lawful, and consistent with his legal duties and prior actions taken by Attorneys General of Texas…Paxton committed no crime.”
Often overlooked is Ken Paxton’s appearance at the Jan6th Rally. Where he whipped up the crowd into a frenzy, telling the MAGA-QANON, the Domestic Terrorist that “we will never give up, we will continue to fight” -also the hot mic moments of the January 6th Domestic Terrorist rally are a mashup of a hot mess express jumping the proverbial train tracks…
Texas Senate Bill 1 - Jim Crow on steroids…
This link will take you to the life cycle of Senate Bill 1 (SB1)
SB1 provision include some of the most stringent and restrictive language to date. The fact that the Texas State Legislature failed to adequately study the socioeconomic and disproportionate impact on communities of color or the disabled community, it is absolutely unconscionable. Apparently in Texas only white people actually matter, wait no — it’s only white men that matter in Texas/
Making it exceedingly difficult for voters to cast a ballot are restrictions. Which in turn limit the “assistance that individuals can provide to voters who require help”
Election Workers safety and polling place security are also adversely impacted. SB1 essentially limits election workers’ authority to “remove partisan poll watchers who are harassing voters”
SB1 also has a criminal carve out that’s applicable to Election Workers, meaning they are now subject to prosecution if they attempt to limit poll watchers’ behavior. Thus creating a significant safety hazard for polling places and voters alike.
employees of nonprofit organizations that often assist individuals, obtain a vote by mail ballot are now subject to criminal prosecution of felony charges and up to two years in jail,
This absolutely and disproportionately impacts elderly voters and voters with other disabilities.
SB-1 makes it a crime to compensate an individual, who’s assisting a voter. And that individual can no longer be compensated for providing such “assistance to voters or for offering, receiving, or soliciting such payment”
. These provisions will also restrict civic engagement activities by community-based organizations. Further, SB1 will roll back voting initiatives that increased access to the ballot during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as drive-thru voting and expanded early voting hours.
SB1 also rolls back various voting initiatives which increased access to the ballot during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as
drive-thru voting and
expanded early voting hours

On September 3, 2021 a coalition of Civil rights organizations filed a lawsuit challenging Texas’ anti-voter Senate Bill 1.
The lawsuit was brought on behalf of the League of Women Voters of Texas, the Texas Organizing Project, Workers Defense Action Fund, Register, Educate, Vote, & Use your Power - Texas (REV UP Texas), and OCA of Greater Houston.
SB 1 would not only make voting harder for all Texans, it threatens to harm communities of color and Texans with disabilities the most.
The Complaint argues that various provisions within TX-SB1
the Voting Rights Act of 1965
the Civil Rights Act of 1964
the Americans with Disabilities Act,
the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and
several provisions of the U.S. Constitution.
…makes it virtually impossible for members of the plaintiff organizations to vote, especially those who are more comfortable with languages other than English, those with disabilities, and who have no option but to vote by mail. SB 1 is opposed by diverse groups of Texans — from business executives, faith leaders, community organizers, local elected officials and countless everyday Texans
Texas SB-1 Targets Disabled and non-English speaking Voters
I mean between the COVID-19 delta surge. A Governor who’s actually playing Russian Roulette with millions of Texas Children & School Employees lives. To the flaccid misogynistic SB-8 - I guess Greg Abbott figure - screw it let’s just go all in and regress Texas back to 1959 because “don’t mess with Texas”
…God doesn’t bless Texas, nope I’m pretty sure God wants the older angry white men in Texas to stop being such retractable ignoramuses… bur I digress.
…SB 1’s cruel targeting of vulnerable voters and community organization..
As alleged and fully articulated in the September 3, 2021 lawsuit -assisting a disabled voter is now criminal. Yes if you help a disabled voter you, SB1 now criminalizes that action and you’ll be charged with a felony…
Under SB 1, a voter who needs assistance to cast their ballot will not be able to ask their assistant questions without risking that their assistant be prosecuted for a felony; a blind voter cannot receive assistance navigating the polling place; a voter who inadvertently transposes two digits of their driver’s license number will have their ballot thrown out; and community organizers are left to guess whether something they say at their neighbors’ doors could land them in jail.,
Texas also apparently hates women, black and brown Texans and now they’ve added disabled Texans
-according to the recent Census data
Hispanics now make 39.3% of the state's residents
compared to 39.7% of Texans who are white non-Hispanic.
Since 2010 the US Census data shows that half the state's total growth, 49.5%, has been within the Hispanic.
..the Texas Legislature added a new chapter to its long history of enacting laws that make it difficult, and at points impossible, for Texans to vote. The Legislature did so in active defiance of well-established federal voting rights laws and principles. The Legislature’s efforts to curtail Texans’ voting rights began just months after local election authorities used innovative strategies to increase access to the ballot box during the 2020 elections, with boosts in turnout in traditionally underrepresented communities
...the Legislature’s most recent efforts followed the release of Census data revealing that Texas’s demographics are rapidly and dramatically changing and that historically disenfranchised voters participate in the electoral process with increasing frequency.
I am starting to think that Texas should just do it - leave the Union because the current Texas Republicans have lost their goddamn minds. With the two special legislative sessions. It doesn’t matter that your own Governor is disabled —it is clear that Governor Abbott actually hates disabled Texans…and if you happen to be a brown or black disabled Texan, well your Governor and State Legislature have nothing but contempt for you. And Texas SB1 codifies that in Texas you are not a whole person. Texas SB1 essentially says “sorry you’re blind but you are not entitled to assistance to cast your ballot”… this law is an affront to human decency and lacks any modicum of “a more perfect Union”…
“…will illegally disenfranchise voters with disabilities and voters with limited English proficiency—who, in Texas, are also overwhelmingly voters of color—while making it harder for community groups to continue the outreach that has led to the growing participation among these communities of voters in recent years…”
At any rate I have to get back to my work commitments and I’ll like dive into this after COB. But in the meantime you can access my Ken Paton files via;

After years of Texas Rangers investigating, while Paxton attempted to obstruct their lawful investigation -
Three weeks after a three-justice panel on the Houston-based 1st Court of Appeals ordered Paxton's case returned to Collin County for trial, the appeals court temporarily halted the transfer to take a closer look at the issues involved.
As explained the State Bar of Texas letter -not all complaints are treated equal. Technically it’s not all grievances are treated equal. You can read more about the State of Texas Grievance Procedure via https://www.texasbar.com
I hope the lawsuit works … this is so disheartening …in my biased non-lawyer mind I cannot fathom how their bs legislation will stand up to ADA and rehabilitation acts at minimum. When I read these excerpts it just sounds plain wrong. (It is).
Glad to see ADA and Section 504 utilized. This would completely take away my son's ability to vote. Fortunately I live in CA, we now all get ballots in the mail so he can more readily vote. I'm surprised there isn't more involvement and opposition by retired/senior/elderly advocate groups and they will be heavily impacted as well.
