on the depo thing . . . to settle my mother's estate (so far the legal fees have been half the value of the entire bequest) from a thieving stepson (to my stepfather), I sat across two days for the full seven hours (the only person to do so). we talked about it during prep but the count to three before answering advice is the best i've heard. during my depo, the stepson's lawyer asked out of nowhere if the SS paid the money back, would that settle things . . . i replied that i'd have to confer with my counsel, but afterwards, i had an expensive and delightful conversation with my counsel about that reveal . . . i'm glad you found this format. it is a much more stable platform that the former ones you once used.
I continue to be baffled by Barr’s motives. Just, why? Like seriously dude you’ve got to be smart enough to know you’re going to get into big shit down the road. It boggles the mind. I remember SWW on a podcast telling her story a while back. Between that fiasco and Mary Trumps first book it really ties everything together with how greedy and evil that whole lot is. Winston Wolkoff for having the sense to hang on to the receipts, but sad that she really thought that the third wife was her friend and that she wanted that friendship. i hope she has other friends in the world because those guys are the worst. i think people associate billionaire crimers as "mob" because they act like the mob--above all the rules, they make their own rules and phuck the rest of us. barrack is horrible and my money says he runs. i hope i'm wrong because he could help a lot and then again he could cut and run. his little company made 1.5 billion off the UAE stuff. the fact that he is accused of being an agent for a foreign government and not telling feels like he's one RCH from being a spy . . . it's all so phucking dirty and one party doesn't care at all. thanks for all you do. i await your digest of the deep dives.
What a case that certainly appears as though Barr had pushed aside. Have you ever seen such a deal given to such a flight risk? According to this: https://www.cacd.uscourts.gov/news/patricia-donahue-appointed-united-states-magistrate-judge-central-district-california, the judge was appointed during trump's time. Could there be a dastardly connection?
