James Blassingame and Sidney Hemby have a combined twenty eight years of service. I hope a jury awards them tens of millions of dollars and Trump is sued into financial insolvency.
I genuinely think every American should read this lawsuit - and when I say discovery will be brutal - I mean it. Because the fact is civil complaints have a much lower threshold versus criminal complaints. And it’s gonna suck for Team-Insurrection-Trump - and that delights me to no end
This is why I want Traitor Trump & the Trump Crime Family along with the rest of their evil cabal to die broke & alone in prison. This makes me so angry I could chew nails. This is APPALLING!! I'm particularly hurt & enraged by their fears of not making it home alive, because we know that some of their comrades did NOT make it out alive. Their fears were not unfounded. Some gave all in the line of duty. May God bless these officers & their comrades, alive & deceased, who did their best to protect the Capitol & everybody in it that day.
'I genuinely hope Trump is sued into financial insolvency.' I do too, Filey! And I hope we'll be seeing suit(s) brought on behalf of officers who died in the Insurrection. TREASON. INSURRECTION. must have a steep legal price. Thanks - as always! - for the invaluable legal analysis!!
Sorry NOT Sorry - because I just reread my own paragraph and literally snort laughed out loud;
“Maaah free speech” or “but…but… your honor they are ganging up on me - I’m the actual victim” (classic narcissist pivot for small minded abusers) or “speech and debate clause” <—dear Gawd I know you’re going to play that specious card because you’ve tried it before - you dimwitted intellectually stunted hate goblin that clause is strictly for members of congress - you lack of understanding basic and I mean B-A-S-I-C third grade civics is adorable.
Thanks, Filey. This was a difficult document to read. My heart aches for all the Capital Police who were doing their jobs that day and were beaten and abused by the insurrectionists who were fired up by trump and the other speakers that day. I watched in tears that day as the insurrectionist stormed the capital. Trump MUST be held responsible for all his talk instigating the attack. I hope other police join in the suit. Trump needs to be sued into insolvency.
It is so disgusting what all the officers had to go through that day. There are trumpers who see nothing wrong with the millions of dollars of damage WE have to restore and the lives that were wrecked by the orange hate goblin. I want him to face a jury without hairspray. I want trump to experience the fear and loathing in prison. I want him to see asset forfeiture.
Dear God what we seen that day!...Yet, we cannot fathom the HELL these Officers experienced! I am sick to my stomach! I hope more officers and their families sue him and his entire family!
Thank you, File-y for keeping us always in the loop and helping us understand! I cannot tell you how much You are Appreciated!
“Officer Hemby believed that more officers would come to help, but because the West
Front had already been breached and officers were being attacked on that side of the
Capitol, no one else was available” —I was sick to my stomach.
But paragraphs 72 et seq - I started to cry because these officers went through hell ad are forced to relive it everyday they return to work. I walked away from the draft of this article 3xs and woke up this morning and decided to publish it. Americans need to know what Law Enforcement went through...
“Officer Hemby was attacked relentlessly. He was bleeding from a cut located less than an inch from his eye. He had cuts and abrasions on his face and hands and his body was
pinned against a large metal door, fending off attacks....His primary focus was to survive and simply get home”
Intentional infliction of emotional distress: A claim for intentional infliction of emotional distress requires a plaintiff to show (1) that the defendant engaged in extreme and outrageous conduct that was done recklessly or with the intent to cause severe emotional distress and (2) the plaintiff experienced severe emotional distress as a result of the conduct. Extreme and outrageous conduct is that which goes beyond bounds of common decency and is atrocious and intolerable to the ordinary person. Severe emotional distress is distress of such an intensity and duration that no ordinary person would be expected to tolerate it. A plaintiff is not required to show that she has suffered a physical injury in order to recover damages for severe emotional distress.
Thank you Filey. You are doing such a service explaining this to us. I'm hopeful for justice yet again.

I’ll admit by the time I got to paragraph 60:
“Officer Hemby believed that more officers would come to help, but because the West
Front had already been breached and officers were being attacked on that side of the
Capitol, no one else was available” —I was sick to my stomach.

Okay, I'm so excited about this!! I read the first two paragraphs, and had to scroll down to comment...
Have they started a gofundme yet, and if so, could you provide a link? I definitely want to contribute to their legal fees!!!
Okay, I'm a gonna go back and read now... lols
had to look it up... totally torts!!
