House Select Committee Jan6th request to 15 social media companies.
… including records related to the spread of misinformation, efforts to overturn the 2020 election or prevent the certification of the results, domestic violent extremists & foreign influence…
…background August 25, 2021
which was a follow up to the July 27th —powerful and courageous testimony of four law enforcement officers who held the line and protected our Democracy
I realized that I may have overlooked explaining H. Res. 503— Establishing the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol - as set forth by H. Res 503 which reads in part:
This resolution establishes in the House of Representatives the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.
The select committee must
(1) conduct an investigation of the relevant facts and circumstances relating to the attack on the Capitol;
(2) identify, review, and evaluate the causes of and the lessons learned from this attack; and
(3) submit a report containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations to prevent future acts of violence, domestic terrorism, and domestic violent extremism, and to improve the security of the U.S. Capitol Complex and other American democratic institutions.
The select committee shall consist of
13 Members of the House appointed by the Speaker of the House;
5 must be appointed after consultation with the minority leader.
House Resolution 503 gives the select committee specified powers, including;
authority to hold hearings,
receive evidence,
and issue subpoenas.
It also requires other House committees (such as the House Oversight1 2 3 4, House Transportation, House Homeland Security 5, House Committee on Rules etc)
“to share relevant records with the select committee within 14 days of the resolution's adoption or receipt of such records” with the House Select Committee on Jan6th Attack on the Capitol.
It is possible I’m reading H.R 503 wrong
but I don’t think I am, H.Res 503…
With respect to the Select Committee’s Subpoena power —the relevant subsections read in part:
The chair of the Select Committee may authorize and issue subpoenas pursuant to clause 2(m) of rule XI in the investigation and study conducted pursuant to sections 3 and 4 of this resolution, including for the purpose of taking depositions
The chair of the Select Committee, upon consultation with the ranking minority member, may order the taking of depositions, including pursuant to subpoena, by a Member or counsel of the Select Committee, in the same manner as a standing committee pursuant to section 3(b)(1) of House Resolution 8
The Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack othe United States Capitol is examining the facts, circumstances, and causes of the attack and relating to the peaceful transfer of power, in order to identify and evaluate lessons learned and to recommend corrective laws, policies, procedures, rules, or regulations..”
(6) Depositions taken under the authority prescribed in this paragraph shall be governed by the procedures submitted by the chair of the Committee on Rules for printing in the Congressional Record on January 4, 2021.
(7) Subpoenas authorized pursuant to this resolution may be signed by the chair of the Select Committee or a designee.
pursuant to House Resolution 503, the Select Committee… all fifteen of the letters are mostly identical - it’s the schedule-pages 2 & 3 which itemizes the Select Committee’s request, which is seeking information including “records related to the spread of misinformation, efforts to overturn the 2020 election or prevent the certification of the results, domestic violent extremism, and foreign influence in the 2020 election” —the Committee set a two-week deadline for the companies to produce/comply said Congressional records/documents
…requests that you produce the documents described in the attached schedule in your custody, control, or possession. Please produce this information to the Select Committee no later than September 9, 2021. An attachment to this letter provides additional instructions for responding to the Select Committee’s request.
…Select Committee’s mandate to uncover the facts about January 6th…
The House Select Committee on Jam6th Attack additionally seeking information on various “policy changes social media companies adopted”—“or failed to adopt”—to address the spread of disinformation, misinformation, violent extremism rhetoric, and any foreign malign influence. This includes any decisions on banning material and/or users from their platforms and any contacts with law enforcement and other government entities. The select committee has formally requested data, reports, analyses, and communications going back to the Spring of 2020. On August 27, 2021 the Select Committee sent letters to the following 15 companies
8kun (formerly known as 8chan)
…attacks against other State capitols…
And certainly witty our Nation’s Capitol under attack by thousands of Trump supporters who acted just like an actual domestic terrorize and arguable all eyes turned to Georgia. As the Reuters’ January 8, 2021 Article stares, in the City of Atlanta, Officials opted to shutter decided to shutter the massive courthouse complex. Additionally two separate government buildings in Atlanta were also closed as a precaution during the protests.
Like I said it’s pages 2 & 3 of the letter that you should pay attention to because at first glance one could infer “it’s a political fishing expedition” —Conversely the SCHEDULE is the exact opposite of a “fishing expedition” but the following is extremely notable.
…documents and information since April 1, 2020
QANON, White Supremacists,
All internal or external reviews, studies, reports, data, analyses, and related communications regarding your platform(s) and:
i. Misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation relating to the 2020 election
ii. Efforts to overturn, challenge, or otherwise interfere with the 2020 election or the certification of electoral college results;
iii. Domestic violent extremists, including racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, militia violent extremists, sovereign citizen violent extremists, QAnon 6, or other extremists associated with efforts to overturn the 2020 election, including the January 6, 2021, attack, attacks against other State capitols, and attempted attacks against the January 20, 2021 inauguration of President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.;2 and
iv. Foreign malign influence in the 2020 election, including known or suspected coordination between foreign and/or domestic influences to interfere in the 2020 elections, or cause domestic unrest.
I’d like to draw your attention to item number 11 in the House Select Committee on Jan6th- in DC lingo let me just cut to the chase; the House knows something and may (operative word) already received communication(s) from employees of the various social media companies.
Lastly it’s not a secret that employees of both Facebook and Google have publicly stated their concerns about their respective employers failing to tamp down the violent rhetoric and likely played into the radicalization of thousands —possibly millions of Americans. I’ve been in DC for decades and I can tell you that this Select Committee is not on a partisan fishing expedition. They are following the facts…
Internal communications, reports, documents, or other materials relating to internal employee concerns about content on the platform associated with any of the items detailed in request 1(i)-(iv) above.
Select Committee on Jan 6th to wireless companies & preservation request also sent;
told 35 telephone, email and social media companies to preserve records which could be relevant to its investigation, the panel announced.
The following Telephone (and wireless) companies receiving requests from the House Selection Committee committee
AT&T Inc,
T-Mobile US Inc and
Verizon Communications Inc
HELL. TO. THE. YES…as well as tech giants Apple Inc and Microsoft Corp. Why? The cloud(s) that’s why. I’m not intentionally targeting CNN and there’s a halfway decent chance that I might be wrong. And CNN’s august 30. 2021 article is correct. And at which point- time-in- that I’ll line up for humble pie.
It is unclear what means the committee will use to compel the telecommunications companies tocooperate with their request. The committee does have subpoena power, but requesting the information —especially from members of Congress -- could lead to a lengthy legal battle.
Spoiler I don’t think I’m wrong…mainly because I’m a stubborn PITA
Shifting gears to: Hate Crimes hit 12 year high..
In a related matter, earlier today the FBI released data concerning the rise in Hate Crime(s) which hit a 12 year high - https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/fbi-releases-2020-hate-crime-statistics
https://crime-data-explorer.fr.cloud.gov/pages/explorer/crime/hate-crime
Victims of Hate Crime Incidents
There were 7,554 single-bias incidents involving 10,528 victims.
A percent distribution of victims by bias type shows that 61.9% of victims were targeted because of the offenders’ race/ethnicity/ancestry bias,
20.5% were victimized because of the offenders’ sexual-orientation bias,
13.4% were targeted because of the offenders’ religious bias,
2.5% were targeted because of the offenders’ gender identity bias,
1% were victimized because of the offenders’ disability bias, and
0.7% were victimized because of the offenders’ gender bias.
There were 205 multiple-bias hate crime incidents that involved 333 victims.
Offenses by Crime Category
Of the 7,426 hate crime offenses classified as crimes against persons in 2020, 53.4% were for intimidation, 27.6% were for simple assault, and 18.1% were for aggravated assault. Twenty-two (22) murders and 19 rapes were reported as hate crimes. The remaining 27 hate crime offenses were reported in the category of other.
Of the 2,913 hate crime offenses classified as crimes against property, most (76.4%) were acts of destruction/damage/vandalism. Robbery, burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, arson, and other offenses accounted for the remaining 23.6% of crimes against property.
One hundred ninety-three (193) additional offenses were classified as crimes against society. This crime category represents society’s prohibition against engaging in certain types of activity such as gambling, prostitution, and drug violations. These are typically victimless crimes in which property is not the object.
Locations of Hate Crimes
The proximity near the various victims homes is not something I’d noticed but it does make sense as does the public nature of Hate Crimes…
Law enforcement agencies may specify the location of an offense within a hate crime incident as one of 46 location designations.
In 2020, most hate crime incidents (28.3%) occurred in or near residences/homes.
Nearly 20% (19.9) occurred on highways/roads/alleys/streets/sidewalks,
6.5% happened at parking/drop lots/garages,
4.4% occurred at schools/colleges,
3.6% occurred at parks/playgrounds, and
3.6% took place in churches/synagogues/temples/mosques.
The location was reported as other/unknown for 8.6% of hate crime incidents. The remaining 25.1% of hate crime incidents took place at other or multiple locations.
The FBI Hate Crime Statistics, 2020 is available as a download on the FBI’s Crime Data Explorer.
COVID-19 and rise in Asian Hate Crimes…
Unsurprisingly the rise in Asian American Pacific Islander hate crimes -especially having a former president debase the office of the President of the United States by repeatedly and unapologetically referring to COVID-19 as “Kung-Flu”, “China Virus”, “Wuhan Virus” and his hateful followers amplifying overt hate and racism, especially towards Asian Americans.
And if the Trump-Republicans spewing racist misinformation and disinformation about COVID-19 wasn’t bad enough, then there are desperate Blue-QANON literally say “Fuck China, Fuck the Chinese” and then without any facts say “the joint chiefs can bomb the shit out of a city in China” and yet his biggest attack dog referring to me as ConnieChunk -full disclosure, she has subsequently deleted those racist tweets but my attorneys and law enforcement had already subpoenaed and sent preservation requests to Twitter.
The skyrocketing in anti-Asian crimes - as the AAPI August 18, 2021 report/data suggest the increase in Hate Crimes specific to the Asian Community
This national report covers the 9,081 incident reports to Stop AAPI Hate from March 19, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
The number of hate incidents reported to our center increased from 6,603 to 9,081 during April—June 2021.
Of all incident reports, 4,548 hate incidents occurred in 2020 and 4,533 of hate incidents occurred in 2021.
Types of Discrimination
Verbal harassment (63.7%) and shunning (16.5%) — the deliberate avoidance of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders — continue to make up the two largest proportions of the total incidents reported.
A majority of incidents are traumatic and harmful, but not hate crimes.
Physical assault (13.7%) comprises the third largest category of total reported incidents, followed by being coughed at or spat on (8.5%).
Civil rights violations — e.g., workplace discrimination, refusal of service and being barred from transportation — account for 11.0% of the total incidents.
Online harassment makes up 8.3% of total incidents.
And while some might argue that the House Select Committee on Jan6th might not tie into the rise in hate crimes, I would submit that suggest it most certainly does because the aforementioned letters to the 15 social media companies all contain the following production of documents and records related to:
iii. Domestic violent extremists, including racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, militia violent extremists, sovereign citizen violent extremists, QAnon, or other extremists associated with efforts to overturn the 2020 election, including the January 6, 2021, attack, attacks against other State capitols, and attempted attacks against the January 20, 2021 inauguration of President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.;2
You can read the House Select Committee’s August 27, 2021 Press Release here. And lastly if you are amplifying anti-Asian rhetoric then maybe you are far more racist than you’d like to admit. And perhaps you need to take a moment and check yourself before you wreck yourself. Because being a racist isn’t a redeemed quality, at all. So here’s a novel idea; maybe consider stop amplifying conspiracy theorist? Who is also an unapologetic racist, but a low key racist is still an actual racist. And has an equally long and documented track record of spewing anti-semtic tropes and a history of taking actual human suffering to some how stay relevant.
Must I remind you of Judge Salas? Where he spun a crazy theory about the random, assignment of a Deutsche Bank cases| —according to some “it was a Deutsche Bank hitjob” on the presiding Federal Judge. He proffered ZERO FACTS. He did this as her son laid dying and her husband was transported to a trauma center where Drs worked to save his life. As previously detailed here. I can only conclude that only a sociopath and master of DARVO technique would use other people’s pain for persona. tuned because I like facts, I like finding dots
I don’t know why so many missed this article but felt it was important enough to remind you of you voted for it and who didn’t

The phone records should be especially illuminating and will hopefully end the careers of the traitors still in Congress.
thanks. deep dives here help us understand the madness
