By now I’m certain many of you are now fully aware that the House Select Committee on Jan6th transmitted a letter to Ivanka Trump
However I’d like to walk you through the important parts of the 12 page letter sent to Ivanka Trump -because it’s important to highlight and drill down on the Select Committee’s letter.
If past is prologue -temper your expectations
What I mean by this is, if you think Ivanka will voluntarily meet with the House Select Committee, then I have a bridge to sell you in the desert. Again I’m not trying to be a “Debbie Downer” -I am attempting to properly set your expectations. Conversely I’m 50/50 on Ivanka cooperating.
Everything in the public record confirms that Donald Trump acts as though he’s about our laws and our Constitution. His daughter.wife spent the better part of fours years emulating her father’s obstructive behavior and nothing in the public record shows she’s inclined to depart from the Trump-Obstructionism.
Conversely it is “possible” (operative word) that Ivanka might make a calculation that would improve her standing in the Court of Public Opinion. Meaning if there’s any truth to the previous reporting that Ivanka has her eyes on a potential Senatorial run or be her father’s running mate in 2024. After all when it comes to Ivanka Trump —her public image is paramount and at times she’s strategically leaked to the press in an effort to “humanize” her and to put distance between her and her unhinged authoritarian racist father,

It is also important that you know that General Keith Kellogg bares some credit. Meaning his recent House Select Committee’s testimony is largely why the Select Committee sent the 12 page letter to Ivanka. And to be transparent I’ve being a harsh critic of Gen Kellogg. House Select Committee On Jan6th -Ivanka Trump
There’s a hidden fact nugget on page 1 -2 of the 12 page letter -it’s literally the last paragraph on page 1 - that the Committee confirms that John Eastman invoked his fifth amendment right against self incrimination. That in of itself is highly notable. An gives weight to the supposition that Eastman knows he’s cooked, like put a fork in him “cooked”…
I’d now like to draw your attention to page 2 -in its entirety because the House Select Committee, not only confirms that General Kellogg appears to have been completely forthcoming during his hours long interview and that undoubtedly put Ivanka not only inside the Oval Office at the time of numerous relevant calls during the deadly domestic terror attack but I’d like you to read what’s highlights after the snippet of the transcribed interview;
…Ms. Trump was in direct contact with the former President at key moments on January 6th and that she may have information relevant to other matters critical to the Select Committee’s investigation.
The questions posed on pages 2 & 3 —allow me to explain why these questions are important —it goes directly to Donald Trump’s state of mind and any actions (or inactions) he took —the 187 minutes long delay for the D.C. National Guard
More importantly here, this places Ivanka Trump in a position where she will be forced to make a binary decision. For Example:
putting her father over her own power hungry future political ambitions
putting Ivanka’s ambitions over the Country
putting her brothers over her own self interest
I am also going to remind you of this now viral video —which depicts Trump Sr, Trump Jr, Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump literally at the scene of the crime. The crime being Trump’s radicalized domestic terrorist attacking the very citadel of our shared Democracy, the US Capitol Building
Turning to page 3 of the Select Committee’s 12 page letter to Ivanka - as you’ll note the Select Committee has made the correct observation that many of Trump’s “supporters” were already at the Capitol, before he instructed them to “March down to the Capitol” and that’s actually important —given countless court filings confirm that fact.
Moving on to pages 4 and 5 of the 12 page letter to Ivanka Trump —what is pretty clear is the White House Senior Staff felt that the only person who could get through to her father, beseeching him to call off his Domestic Terrorist would be his daughter —but even then it took several attempts by Ivanka to cajole her father into doing/saying something. Even then his late afternoon tweet about Mike Pence and his milquetoast “video” (of which there are purportedly several “takes” because Trump was apparently “stubborn”)…
“Staffers thought Trump going on LIVE TV…
…Would only make matters worse” -let that sink in, numerous witnesses told the House Select Committee that the notion of having Trump go on Live TV without a script, they feared his appearance would “make matters worse” —not only is that absolutely stunning it’s actually terrifying —yet confirms what many of us assumed, that Trump was truly thrilled to see his Domestic Terrorist chanting “Hang Mike Pence” and that the “gallows” constructed by Trump’s Domestic Terrorist was constructed for Pence and other political enemies that Trump conveyed were “disloyal”
There it is -confirmation that Trump NEVER contacted the DOD…
And while I certainly loathe Kash Patel and have repeatedly railed against Trump’s (fourth or fifth) “acting” Defense Secretary Christopher Miller —I actually can respect the fact he was willing to testify under oath and insofar as to confirm what many of us assumed —Donald J Trump refused to lead and/or intervene telling his Domestic Terrorist to “stand down” but it’s stunning to read the House Select Committee’s letter. It’s there in black and white and it’s ugly
..The Committee is aware that certain White House staff devoted time during the violent riot to rebutting questions regarding whether the President was attempting to hold up deployment of the guard[…]. But the Committee has identified no evidence that President Trump issued any order, or took any other action, to deploy the guard that day. Nor does it appear that President Trump made any calls at all to the Department of Justice or any other law enforcement agency to request deployment of their personnel to the Capitol,”

Just a few days after the deadly Jan6th Domestic Terror attack - apparently Sean Hannity sent a group text message to Senior White House Staff -and wow. just. wow. Read what Hannity texted — it is absolutely chilling. Also I genuinely dislike Kayleigh McEnany as noted by the Select Committee —she overtly lied to the American people with her intentionally false tweet that Trump had given the order to deploy the DC National Guard. Which resulted in several pro-Trump media outlets falsely amplifying McEnany’s lie (see here, here and here)
At the height of the deadly domestic terror attack then White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany tweeted (which now the House Select Committee confirms was a lie)
“At President @realDonaldTrump’s direction, the National Guard is on the way along with other federal protective services ..We reiterate President Trump’s call against violence and to remain peaceful.”
Now -what’s next?
Again I’m not trying to be a Debbie Downer but I would urge caution in assuming that Ivanka Trump will voluntarily cooperate with the Select Committee’s request. I’m pretty sure she’s going to obstruct and the Committee will be forced to serve her with a subpoena and even then she might assert her fifth amendment right…
Fulton County DA -requested a special grand jury
Also ICYMI Fulton County DA requests special grand jury to probe Trump's election interference -which is fantastic news;
…Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis wrote that her office has "received information indicating a reasonable probability that the State of Georgia's administration of elections in 2020, including the State's election of President of the United States, was subject to possible criminal disruptions," according to a letter sent to Christopher Brasher, chief judge of Fulton County's Superior Court, and provided by the court.

I also want my readers to fully understand - the GA “Special Grand Jury” (GASGJ) and emphasize a GASGJ does not have the power to indict. The GASGJ has investigative authority, specially subpoena power. And what most will not explain (because they don’t know how our criminal Justice system works) the subtext of the Fulton County DA requesting a Special Grand Jury —that tells me that she (and her staff) may have encountered a road block that stymied the investigation. And that’s equally important because my educated guess is Fani Willis may have encountered a black hole of proving Trump’s State of Mind.
Georgia Special Grand Jury -scope and power- fast facts
In order to help you distinguish between opinion, speculation and facts, at relevant times I will provide you with links to the various Georgia laws. As I genuinely believe you should have access to authentic documents, and that will help you formulate an informed opinion.
GA § 15-12-100. Procedure for impaneling special grand jury; number of jurors; foreperson; powers of jury
GA .. § 15-12-101. Supervision of special grand jury; procedure for dissolution; additional investigation
Does not have a time limit or otherwise limited to one term
Again note that a special grand jury does not have authority to hand down an individual,. A GASGJ have limited powers to investigative —then the District Attorneys will present evidence (presumably collected by the GASGJ) to a Grand Jury, who will determine if an indictment is warranted.
Additionally a GASGJ has the authority to inspect records, documents and internal/external correspondence of (and this is important so pay attention) “state or local government officials and their offices can require any person or company to produce records, documents or correspondence related to the subject it is investigating.” - the reason I’m specifically highlighting this is - the Fulton County DA is likely limited vis-a-vis jurisdiction. Remember that Secretary of State Raffensberger had previously stated the Fulton County DA hadn’t reached out to him. Which makes sense because jurisdiction-something—something. Of course I could be wrong but I don’t think I am —a GASGJ isn’t limited to the Fulton County jurisdiction. Hence why I genuinely believe the Fulton County DA is clearly conducting a complex investigation. And it might come down to Trump’s state of mind, meaning she has to prove (beyond reasonable doubt) that Trump knew his maximum pressure campaign on GA’s Governor, Lt Governor and State Secretary of State was criminal or at a minimum in the furtherance of a criminal scheme. Again I could be wrong but I don’t think I am
GASGJ issues a report (not an indictment) and their term is typically long then that of a Grand Jury. Those are a few notable differences that you should keep in mind
Georgia Grand Jury -scope and power-
Not to diminish the power of a Georgia Grand Jury - but the reality is a grand jury plays a pivotal role in our Judicial System. In some respects they are equally important as a jury. Below are direct links to the various State of Georgia statutes.
In non-legalese a “special grand jury” differs from a Grand Jury, that is a special grand jury is generally impaneled (specifically) to “investigate any alleged violation of the laws of the state of Georgia.” And yes they have subpoena power. Whereas in Georgia a Grand Jury’s term is limited to one and typically it’s only for 60 days. That’s important to remember and how a grand jury differs from a special grand jury…
