Matt Gaetz’s awful 2021 is infinitely worse than many thought. F-E-C filings -UPDATED House Ethics Committee
I have questions about your Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings. I pulled down your entire FEC data via their bulk data option. A distinct pattern emerged; Book Flight, Hotel & First Bank
Update at the bottom and it’s a big one..
ICYMI;
“Matt Gaetz - continues to circle the drain of deep stupid. It is really unclear if Gaetz actually comprehends the totality of his legal exposure and the peril he is facing. You can read more here and here. Remember Joel Greenberg has a hearing on April 8, 2021 and Greenberg’s arraignment for the Superseding Indictment is currently scheduled for Friday April 9, 2021...” as you’ll note late last night Greenberg’s attorneys filed a notice waiving Greenberg’s appearance both in today’s Status Conference Hearing and Tomorrow’s Arraignment on Greenberg’s third superseding indictment
Greenberg - Flip or be flopped
During today’s status conference hearing Greenberg’s attorney and the prosecutors indicated to the court that there are active negotiations concerning a “potential” plea agreement. Ultimately informing the Court that the parties would like thirty (30) days to see if an amicable accord can be reached.
I would remain cautious in speculative assertions that a plea agreement is “locked in” because until the agreement is signed and Greenberg is sentenced (which occurs after the defendant’s cooperation conditions are met) there’s no guarantee. You need not look further than recent “cooperators” Paul Manafort and (disgraced) General Michael Flynn.
But if I were Matt Gaetz I would actually be panicking. This is also applicable to any other members of Congress, who may have also engaged in untoward acts of sexual involving Gaetz and Greenberg.
In the final days of the Trump White House, Rep. Matt Gaetz is said to have asked for blanket pre-emptive pardons for himself and unidentified congressional allies. New York Times
Hence the pre-emptive blanket pardon that Gaetz allegedly sought from the Trump White House for himself and “unnamed members of Congress” … also yesterday’s statement from Trump was very carefully worded. The New York Times article never said Gaetz solicited a pardon from Trump directly. Yes those are semantics but it actually matters because Trump crafted a very careful statement.
“Congressman Matt Gaetz has never asked me for a pardon," Trump said in his statement. "It must also be remembered that he has totally denied the accusations against him."
Tweets that did not age well from Matt Gaetz:
Exhibit A - Gaetz Loathsomeness
Exhibit B - his disgusting 2018 Khashoggi tweet
Honorable Mention October 2018
Exhibit C - 2018 Haiti Tweet amplifying Trump’s “Shithole” comment
Federal Election Commission 2017/2018 Cycle
Speaking of 2018 - I actually noticed something when I started looking at Gaetz’s entire Federal Election Commission filings, that a weird pattern emerge. Nominally it doesn’t look like it’s a “thing” util you pull way back and view the various First Bank Transactions in the context of his Airfare, Hotels, rental cars and meals.
There’s a distinct pattern that emerges but the issue is much of the documentation would require a subpoena to see the physical orginal receipts. Here’s what I noticed several airline tickets and hotel rooms paid for on the “same”
day but the First Bank Transactions really peeked my curiosity because if the recent public reporting is factually correct then when you view the dataset as a whole - either Gaetz cloned himself or some of these “disbursement” are highly questionable.
Meaning either his campaign staff stayed at Disney World and/or other luxury hotels the same time Gaetz was at a different state. One plausible explanation is this is a data entry error or a known black hole within the FEC filing system. I don’t think it’s the prior because that would likely be a data anomaly versus 2016 to present this exact pattern persist. So that’s what my preliminary research shows but I’d like a few more days to drill down further. I was comfortable enough with the 2017/2018 election cycle data to publish my findings but I’m not satisfied with my 2019 to present research and I need a little bit more time to dig deeper into the granularity to feel comfortable to publish my findings. So that’s where I’m going to leave this article but BOLO for a few follow up articles this weekend, -Filey
Now with respect to my December 2019 Tweet to Gaetz about his pot business did you think I pulled that out of thin air? I can assure you that I did not. Just because someone reaches a conclusion way before others - that doesn’t mean the person was wrong - typically it means “thanks for catching up”
Furthermore on December 13, 2019 I tweeted this thread out —what some viewed as a highly offensive tweet. Largely because I asked Gaetz about Cocaine, Pot and girls aged 16 or 17
As recently reported by CBS News, earlier this week
“Matt Gaetz trip to Bahamas is part of federal probe into sex trafficking, sources say… looking into a Bahamas trip Matt Gaetz allegedly took in late 2018 or early 2019 as part of an inquiry into whether the Florida representative violated sex trafficking laws, multiple sources told CBS News.
Gaetz was on that trip with a marijuana entrepreneur and hand surgeon named Jason Pirozzolo, who allegedly paid for the travel expenses, accommodations, and female escorts, the sources said….”
In fact in 2018 Jason spoke very highly (pun not intended) of Matt Gaetz
“We’ve got Congressmen that are actually dealing with this federal legislation right now. Congressman Matt Gaetz is coming to do a keynote. We’ve got, you know, physicians from all over the country flying in that are absolutely the experts in their field. That actually publish all the articles and do the research that we as physicians are reading. And they’re gonna be coming to speak on some very interesting topics…”
Facebook Live Unless there is an overwhelming, compelling reason that our existing agencies in the federal government can't handle that problem, I vote no because voters in Northwest Florida did not send me to Washington to go and create more federal government."
Matt Geatz “revenge porn” and he likes it
People who keep doubting that Gaetz would have the audacious chutzpah, to share sexually explicit pictures and videos of women he purportedly had intimate relationships with. Ask yourself; how did Gaetz “sharing” these sexually explicit photos and videos (apparently some of this Frat-Boy conduct occurred on the House Floor)? The answer is kind of simple, the scoop came from House Republicans and/or their staff.
HB 475 (2014) - Disclosure of Sexually Explicit Images:
Prohibits individual from intentionally & knowingly disclosing private, sexually explicit image of identifiable person, through attached personal identifiers, links, or facial recognition for purpose of harassment of such person if individual knows or should have known person depicted in sexually explicit image did not consent to such disclosure & objects to such disclosure; provides enhanced penalties for violations by persons 18 years of age or older involving victims younger than 16 years of age; provides exceptions; requires court to order that person convicted of violation of be prohibited from having contact with victim & requires penalties for violation of order run consecutively to penalties for original violation. Last Event: Died in Criminal Justice Subcommittee on Friday, May 2, 2014 10:39 PM
Guess who was the Chairman of the Florida House of Representatives - Criminal Justice Subcommittee? It was Matt Gaetz - at the time several of his Florida House of Representatives colleagues went on the record starting that Gaetz’s position was “He thought that any picture was his to use as he wanted to."
The revenge porn law was ultimately re-introduce during the 2015 legislative session via the Florida State Senate S.B. 485 —on May 15, 2015 it became law Florida Chapter No. 2015-24 — let’s take a look at Matt Gaetz’s Florida House of Representatives.
Setting aside Matt Gaetz’s Facebook Live (which you can view in its entirety, here) —I sort of feel like I took one for the team because his voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard. His “explanation” is riddled with half truths, blatant lies and at times it’s a nonsensical verbal shart —he talks about his time in the Florida House of Representatives and the “many” human trafficking bills he sponsored
So let’s look at what (if any) bills Gaetz ponsored and co-sponsored while he was in the Florida House of Representatives1 2010 thru 2016;
2010 House Bills lodged -found here, 2011 House Bills -found here, 2012 House Bills -found here, 2013 House Bills -found here, 2014 House Bills -found here, 2015 House Bills -found here and lastly 2016 House Bills, found here. Spoiler based on the preliminary research it appears that Gaetz greatly exaggerated his “I made née sex trafficking laws” or there’s a super secret Florida Legislation database. The point? Gaetz time as a Florida lawmaker is on par with his Federal “lawmaking” little to nonexistent. Meaning he barely sponsors any meaningful legislation, nearly 8.9 out of 10 “sponsored” Florida House of Representatives died in Committee.
Similarly Gaetz’s performance in the United States House of Representatives is equally light, for example under the 115th Congress Gaetz only sponsored seventeen (17) House Bills, found here (and 5 of which involved cannabis — of which he has a significant stake in). Moreover Gaetz’s performance under the 116th Congress resulted in ten (10) House Bills, found here. Dude is not a serious public policy legislator. He’s all show and little to zero substance or hard work to pass laws that will be for the betterment of not only his constituents but more broadly Americans.
I guess Matt Gaetz is entirely too busy jet setting across the Country, hooking up with women for tryst. And being Donald Trump’s protege doesn’t leave a lot of time for Gaetz to do the hard work of drafting new bills. He’s the Fraternity boy of Congress and he would rather speed his time trolling. In general I don’t wish bad things on people —notwithstanding I can’t wait for Gaetz’s comeuppance because he’s such a loathsome human being and he’s dirty AF.

ps don’t be alarmed but I’m forcing myself to unplug and engage in some long over due self care. The last few weeks have been especially brutal. I need to take at least one mental health day. Be well. Be happy. And be informed
Updated April 9, 2021 at 9:22PM DC Local Time:
I want you to read what I highlighted in today’s House Ethics Committee’s Press Release2 —it matters, a lot - because until today’s press release I was unaware of the potential “BRIBE” and I bet you didn’t know either. The Press Release reads in part:
“Representative Matt Gaetz may have engaged in sexual misconduct and/or illicit drug use, shared inappropriate images or videos on the House floor, misused state identification records, converted campaign funds to personal use3, and/or accepted a bribe, improper gratuity, or impermissible gift, in violation of House Rules, laws, or other standards of conduct…”
Like holy c-r-a-p Gaetz is in deep kimchi. I mean did you all understand why I was like, let’s drill down on baby Gaetz’s FEC filings. Irrespective of the House investigation, the Trump Justice Department started the investigation into Matt Gaetz. So let’s not allow Gaetz to get away with the “deep state” garbage missives. But I will tell you a little bit of how DC really works - I would expect the Department of Justice to “politely request” the Congressional Ethics Committee4 to stand down. One thing to remember, three of the five Committee members voted to over turn the Election. So keep that in mind.
With respect to the second House Congressional Ethics Committee opening up an investigation into Representative Tom Reed, see footnote. Again I’m not as partisan as some portray me to be. /fin
Data from Florida Legislation Page - last visited April 8, 2021
to be fair the House Ethics Committee ALSO announced an investigation into “Representative Tom Reed may have engaged in sexual misconduct” https://ethics.house.gov/press-releases/statement-chairman-and-ranking-member-committee-ethics-regarding-representative-tom - last visited April 9, 2021 which is a follow up to the March 2021 Washington Post Article; https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/tom-reed-lobbyist-nicolette-davis/2021/03/19/10717562-84f3-11eb-8a67-f314e5fcf88d_story.html
Like I said I’ve been on Gaetz for a while, for example I spent several weekends cross referencing his Florida State Financial Disclosures to his Federal Financial Disclosures. See December 2019 - archived thread and see the archived December 2019 FEC Gaetz thread.
If you recall Gaetz also faced an Ethics Committee Investigation into his 2019 tweet to Michael Cohen.
“July 29, 2020, the Committee unanimously voted to adopt this Report, admonish Representative Gaetz, and release the ISC Report, which is transmitted as an appendix to this Report.”
We will need to see how this plays out as you’ve stated. If a plea agreement is signed with cooperation, it does not bode well for anyone like Gaetz or even higher. If Greenberg has a plea agreement without cooperation, that’s a different scenario. Until signed, we don’t know. Greenberg did not appear in court yesterday with his attorney. Do you think that belies any strategy? We know that Trump & ilk tend to attack the attackers as their legal strategies and go after public opinion. Unfortunately, the Venmo transactions, (public-oy)do not help and the reporting of a 17 year old as one of the trafficked women, does not help either.
If the blanket pardon request came via a third party, then Gaetz can say he never asked for one.
Other notes- Rick Wilson tweeted a Maxwell type character showing up in this story & sure enough, CNN reported a girlfriend of Dr Pirozzolo’s girlfriend recruiting women for Gaetz. Further insult is Pirozzolo traveling w/Gaetz to Bahamas & paid for by Pirozzolo. There’s a photo of Trump & Melanie meeting Pirozzolo on a tarmac and accompanying them was Ron De Santiago and his wife. Of course in Florida, ground zero for many of these creeps.
Is De Santiago in legal jeopardy here? His connection to Beshears, Gaetz, Greenberg, Pirozzolo etc do not seem to be casual acquaintances. This story grows exponentially. Excellent work! Always so informative! ❤️
Take care of yourself Filey! Thanks for all the great information.
